Just checking in from D.C.  Back from Witches of Eastwick, which had a slightly long first act but the second act went like gangbusters.  Take 15 minutes off this show and I'd bet they've got a smash hit.

I didn't get a chance to say hello to Ms. Skinner or Ms. Noll on behalf of BK (or to Jackie Piro on behalf of Skip) because we ended up being in a rush to get Milla to the train station back in D.C. and she made the earlier train with barely ten minutes to spare.

Julie and I will see Dead Man's Cell Phone tonight, and possibly get a late dinner.  Then possibly Shear Madness at Kennedy Center or the naked Macbeth at the Shakespeare theatre tomorrow.  Then home tomorrow night.

Does anyone know if the Spy Museum is interesting?  (It's right near our hotel, and that's intersting in itself, but is it worth \seeing?)

After seeing the home environment of DR Jose, we hopped the subway to a different part of Harlem. Here is a shot of it. You can see the Apollo in the background.

Back in Manhattan, Madison Avenue to be exact, as we made our way to Central Park. I don't know how this jogger got in front of my camera. I think he spoiled the shot, don't you?

This is, of course, what the shot should have looked like. And once I cleaned up the drool and revived Jose I got a perfect photo.

Jose's kindness knows no bounds as he offers to take a photo of a very nice tourist couple from Washington D.C.

Here we enter a place in the park known as The Ramble. It was a very nice nature area with lots of wildlife and bears.

Especially for DearReaderLaura and DR Sandra, the ceiling of the Bethesda Terrace structure. Although not a casino, I am certain that there have been many games of chance played inside that structure over the years.

And opposite the terrace is the Bethesda fountain and the lake. If you look closely you will notice a film crew setting up behind the fountain.

Jose and I soon parted and I made my journey back to Rodzinski's to pick up my luggage and await Gudda to drive me to the airport.

It was a great trip guys and I thank all of you New Yorkers for making it so much fun and for you out of towners for adding even more enjoyment to my trip! Take care and hope to see all of you at a future HHW gathering soon!

I just got caught up on today's posts.  I have to say, there was a lot of besmirching going on earlier..... oh yes, besmirching!  :)

I merely agree to provide protection for dear DR Jose while he has his "sidewalk picture" taken, and I'm accused of all manner of lechery.  Well, I never!!.......OK, almost never......  I was merely shielding dear Jose from unseemly gazes and keeping strong winds from blowing his back.

And as for my pic in front of the Paramount building, my shirt did have pink in the pattern but it was pretty subtle and hard to see.  You can ask Jose or Jason -- I had run out of all of my other pink shirts by that last morning.

Oh..... and from earlier in the day:  2 of the least satisfying desserts to waste the effort (and calories) on..... baked Alaska and Floating Island.

Just give me my table at The Little Pie Company, with a Levain chaser !

And the word of the day is: PHILTRUM!
Casey would waltz
With a strawberry blonde,
Whose PHILTRUM was covered with a bit of LIP THRUM
(also known as a moustache).

(Thrum being defined as a fringe, when used as a noun.)

(I figured that since others are returning, Casey might make a renewed appearance as well.)

Der Grampa and I have returned from the moving picture theatah, where we took the grandlads to see Ratatouille.  Very enjoyable, even for the older grandlad who doesn't like food.

Jason suddenly realized how many points we all just consumed, while Jose requests a third helping, please.

All the photos & captions are wonderful.  The building shots are beautiful & your story telling very entertaining.  Dear dog) & Elmore looked comfortable on the couch.

This photo of Jason, well….the expression is priceless. :D
