Well we got the lights all set, but I only did a few cues.....Mr Tim is going to finish them up tomorrow when I bring him my paper, which he already has, but he must have forgotten, so I will give him another copy.
BUT tragedy struck BLITHE SPIRIT last night - yes TRAGEDY.
When Charles first sees his wife Elvira as a ghost, he drops the glass of whiskey he just poured for himself. Fine and dandy except last night, Charles had poured himself a martini....I specifically purchased HEAVY whiskey glasses so it would survive the fall.....not so the lovely GOLD-RIMMED martini glasses....CRASH!!!! Broken.....and I just had enough of the martini glasses with gold rims to match the number of martinis he makes....and now I am short one.
It is a tragedy.....but the play will go on....I guess.

I'm going for a medical test this afternoon--a cartoid artery screening. I'm not sure if it's an ultrasound or an echo-thingy or just an x-ray, but it is suppose to take very little time. Hopefully, I won't have to insert my neck into any strange contraption...

. . .you do have a very small neck, a la Anne of Boleyn, don't you? ;)

Good morning, all! I got a nice email from my beloved sister-in-law and chef par excellence JoAnn this morning, and - I've wrongly been maligning Randy all weekend - she attached an email from Randy notifying one of the developers around the new hospital that the house and garage on the property had been torn down and were they interested in the land. The response was maybe. In the future. Land looks good, though.
Wow....DR JANE....that Sherlock is one B I G D O G!
TEST VIBES FOR DAN (the MAN)!!!

On the garlic cream cheese recipe: Is it really four whole bulbs of garlic or four cloves?

Um...no...
Maybe I can grab a copy of my ultrasound this afternoon...

No. The show MUST go on. Even as things shatter around us.
For those who are still reading "Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest," let me explain further: I read the last 300 pages in a day, rarely stopping to put the book down and loved most every minute, but I will say I had a few problems, which I won't go into yet because I don't care for all the spoiler alerts. Let's just say, if the author had lived, there might have been a few changes made.
As for the first book, I loved it once I finished it, but I stopped about a third of the way through, took a few months' off and then picked it up again. The beginning was a bit slow going, but I felt the ending more than made up for it.

So buy a cheap clear martini glass and paint a gold rim on it
Or a plastic martini glass and paint a gold rim on it. Safer

I almost finished it last night. It was 2:30 and i just couldn't stay awake any longer, but I'm down to about a chapter and a half. I really did slog through the beginning of this book and I think most of it could have been eliminated, just my two cents. The book really did pick up and got very good. I don't know if I'll like the end yet, because I'm not there
Wash that man right outa your hair, Cillaliz.

Has anyone tried to order anything from Amazon.com today and failed? I can't tell if it's my computer, Con Edison, or something global!
There's this tv commercial currently playing for Restasis, to help dry eyes. The actress playing the doctor who uses it herself is so bad, so comatose and unanimated I am amazed that no one yelled at her LIVELIER!, gave her a goose, or replaced her. Oy!
She really stinks.
My thought, too, but I like the sounds of the recipe. On the garlic cream cheese recipe: Is it really four whole bulbs of garlic or four cloves?
It has to be four little cloves. Four huge bulbs would be way too much garlic!

She's a real eye doctor. Don't you ever read the fine print? ;D
I have heard from several others that Amazon is flaky today, Elmore.
Yes, they all will cuddle. Singdaw (the tabby with all the white on his face) won't stay off of me when I sit down. Barnum is a cuddler. The only one who is very independent yet is Miss Ginger, although she does come and sit beside me.
I just had a friend come and play. They all hid. We need lots of "therapy."

DR ELMORE is out and about.
and raving! DR JRand59, I am sorry to hear about the martini glass. While I really enjoy socializing with intelligent actors, and they do exist, it's the dumb ones that make your life hell. It's even worse when they're both pretty and dumb.

Done.
We are home from Kenwood Towne Center. Richard's laptop is 2/3 fixed - they had to order a part for the final 1/3. I have a new printer/scanner/copier and, because there's a Vera Bradley Signature Store in the same mall, a new tote and accessories. The tote was 40% off, so my savings almost paid for the glasses case and coin purse that I use as an iPod/earbuds/flash drives case. We also had dinner at Montgomery Inn. Delightful Tuesday date!
Aaaahhhh, we've turned off the AC, opened the windows, and turned on the fan. Feels like Michigan...

You have clearly never lived in Middletown, Ohio.
My sentiments exactly. Hot and sticky in the summer, below zero for most of the winter I lived there.Aaaahhhh, we've turned off the AC, opened the windows, and turned on the fan. Feels like Michigan...

I had a wonderfully wonderful dinner meeting with our very own Miss Alet Taylor, who is going to be one of only two regulars in each of the Kritzerland at the Gardenia shows - she can do it all and is perfect, and has been on the albums. I'm in the midst of choosing the other regular, a male. Then the other four singers will all be guests.
Has anyone tried to order anything from Amazon.com today and failed? I can't tell if it's my computer, Con Edison, or something global!
I prefer (in order):
LA CAGE AUX FOLLES - The musical
THE BIRDCAGE - film
LA CAGE AUX FOLLES - The original film

So, the waiting game continues. I wait for the property to move, I wait for checks in the post, I wait for something good to happen.
OK, DRs, it's time to get ready for bed. I could use some vibes for the arrival of a check in tomorrow's post!
Oh come on george, we can get to page 7
