The words "Normal" and "HHW" can indeed be used in the same sentence: HHW's bk is a dear friend of Next to Normal's Alice Ripley.

The LACO is a wonderful group, very worth keeping on your radar.

*And the host of their nationally syndicated radio broadcast, Alan Chapman, is also the composer of "Everybody Wants To Be Sondheim" which I believe Amanda McBroom and Guy Haines may have recorded at one time.

Yes, it was. And my parents were able to make it today too.

-I think it was the first time since my college graduation recital that they were able to hear and see me play piano.

It's alway good to take a shower after a travel day. Wash all of that travel grime off of you. -Which should help alleviate your allergies too.

LOL....after the show, you couldn't get close to MR BK without a pair of good elbows....and/or a tight sweater.

They did indeed flock around Mr. Kimmel. And they were all lovely people! Sitting at the same table, I was able to have some nice conversations with several as BK could not engage them all at the same time. And once again, speaking of lovely people, JRand and his pal, Evil Kurt, were charming guides and a great taxi service. If I had had to tote BK and me around, we would have been lucky to make it to the theatre, let alone the afters gathering spot. Thanks again, Jrand, for all your help and kindnesses. Great to finally meet you.

It was a really terrific weekend!

After I finished packing up at the theatre, and after a good round of hugs and till-we-meet-again's, I joined my parents for a nice steak dinner at some friends of theirs - who also came to the show today. It was a very nice way to finish the day.

It was indeed a great weekend - one I sorely needed. And I keep thinking about Gold Star Chili and the Coney dogs. Jrand and Evil Kurt were terrific and fun, and Evil Kurt is even going to try and arrange a book signing for me.

My parents are in the process of getting ready for their trip to the Philippines. They fly out tomorrow; I'll be driving them to the airport. My Dad is flying back for his 50th High School Reunion! *Last year's trip was for my Mom's high school reunion (among other things). Alas, Monkey and I are not making the trip this year.
