Glad to see singdaw is back and hopefully TCB will follow, and then Cilla whenever she's ready.  As to singdaw's post, well, listen, we've all been snippy or bothersome at times, me included.  It happens, and it blows over quickly and no one should feel they have to leave.

Not me.....oh wait......nevermind.

I just finished watching a DOCUMENTARY with a lot of animation and actors playing parts of real people about a woman I had NEVER heard of ....  UNFOLDING FLORENCE about Florence Broadhurst.

The story was fascinating and since I knew NOTHING about her life....it piqued my interest until the end.

I think some other HHW'ers might enjoy it....on one of the Sundance Channels this month.

AMAZING RACE will be ON TIME tonight....but it is the season opener and its only one hour long!  I was hoping for two hours to get to know everybody!

Dear reader Laura - this is 2008 (about to be 2009) - your very own computer can convert documents to PDF instantly - what brand and year is your computer - someone here will, I'm sure, be able to tell you how to do it.  On a Mac, it's one click of an icon when you're in your printer screen.

BK, someone listed a site that does the conversions, but my document was too large.

I would love to be able to convert it myself on my very own computer. I have a Toshiba 2006 (I think) model with XP.

DR LAURA this is what I use.....you install this free program - then when you click to print you choose:

PRIMO PDF

where your printers are listed and instead of printing, your file is converted to a PDF that you then save to your folder.  Takes a few tries to get right....and there are some choices to make, but it's easy and FREE.

Good Evening!

Well... I was thinking today's Featured Frozen Custard Flavor was Salted Caramel, however, it turned out to be Cannoli.  -I forgot that Shake Shack's calendar runs Monday-Sunday, not Sunday-Saturday, so when I glanced at the "Flavor Calendar", I misread it by a day.  However, tomorrow is Monday, and tomorrow's Frozen Custard Flavor is  Salted Caramel, so... ;)

Thanks, JRand. I can get it to save short documents, but when I tried to convert a newsletter, it saved the last two pages only. I'll have to keep trying with it.

GRRRRRRRRRRR.....do a google search for free programs....there has to be one.....or save your newsletter as two documents and merge the files after you convert.  Or something.

I use OpenOffice to make pdf files.  It's also free AND it does everything that Corel WordPerfect can do.

I'm back from a very funny and smart NYMF show, IDAHO, which is to Rodgers and Hammerstein what THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X is to PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE and other 1950s sci-fi films. Set in the new state of Idaho, the big conflict is whether or not mail order bride Cassie will end up with the evil Jed or the potato grower Whip.  The big clambake is the Spudbake Festival, and Aunt Pearl gets the big "Never Walk Alone" number. The choreography was brilliant: lots of Agnes deMille, a silly dream ballet, and an act two "twister ballet" in which a tornado ruins a crop of potatos. I laughed myself silly and thought how much JRand58 would have been delighted by its intelligent nonsense.
