Is it my imagination, or is Edwards looking like a thinner Michael McKean?

(Or have I just got Laverne and Shirley on the brain since seeing Cindy Williams live onstage yesterday?)

I'm going to do a little writing and then head downstairs to bed.

Good night!

He's certainly a lot thinner now than he was when he was our senator. I wouldn't mind seeing him gain a few pounds.

I don't see the Michael McKean resemblance at all.

He's looking a lot thinner than he did back in 2004. But a healthy thinner, not an unhealthy thin

I will say that his events are so alive and charged with energy so much more so than anyone elses.  I may go see Hillary on New Years Day but other than that, I'm done and have made up my mind

Speaking of Laverne and Shirley (and I guess only I was :) ), I was surprised to see that David L. Landers real name is David Landau, which just happens to be my nephew's name.

And back to "Sweeney Todd" for a moment...

The Richmond ABC affiliate's "Entertainment Reporter" didn't like the movie at all.  However, I suspect that he just doesn't like musicals to begin with.  His main gripes were that the Sondheim's music was "grating" and began to "sound the same" after a while.  I was trying to find a transcript of the review online, but can't seem to track one down.

Just to give you an idea of what I've done to make up my mind, and I'm not unusual, this time around I have seen Biden  twice,  Dodd once, Richardson three times and his wife once, Obama twce, Clinton once, Edwards three times-twice he was with Elizabeth. Kuchinich and Gravel haven't been here. I have watched all but one debate, have read policy papers, visited websites and have discussed politics ad nauseum. We spend a lot of time preparing for the caucuses. It's a lot of work, but I'm so glad we get to do it.

DR Cillaliz - Do the candidates do any sort of follow-up in Iowa after the caucus?  -Besides the usual campaign stops.

Not until the Nominee is running for office in the fall.  I supposed they may come back to endorse a congressional or senatorial candidate, but usually once the caucuses are over they are gone.

Actually they are gone very quickly. It usually only takes a day or two at the most to pack up their offices and move on to the next state. The staffers here won't go to New Hampshire, they go to another state farther down the road and start all over there.

What a wasteland TV is tonight.  Everything is repetitious.

I suppose we're all supposed to just play dumb and mindless...or not watch at all.

Yes, I suppose he was waiting for a Britney or Christina song...or something from Justin!

What a maroon!

Is THIS GUY the one????

Yep.  But I'd say he's more "beige" than "maroon".

A quite New Year's Eve will be spent here - possibly watching the Russian (?) movie "The Suit".

We may even stay up until 10/00pm.

It approximately 40 degrees C here today.

We  will be recording "Help" tonight.  My memory of it is that it is even less enjoyable than "A Hard Day's Night".

Thank goodness for the music from the films.
