I've taken my intellectual property question to Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, They have my submission form and I should hear from them in a couple of days.

Good luck...for whatever information you're waiting for!
I have friends on both coasts of Florida, a nephew in North Carolina and others in Matthew's possible path. Vibes for any and all affected.
Darn, I don't see this will play here anywhere in the near future.

"Ack! Come here! Over here! Here! Snake!!!"
I went to the oil change place EARLY today and the 10 minute change only took 45 minutes instead of two hours like last time.
Vibes for family and friends in the path of MATTHEW!

OK, so really more middle of the road vision. I can read small print and a book, if it is in my face, without glasses on. I don't wear glasses to read at night. I but my glasses on to walk to the bathroom if I get up. I suppose I don't really have to but I feel safer doing so. With my contacts in I can see distance, don't need glasses to walk, drive, or use the computer. I need reading glasses to read and seeing small print is difficult.
I find your situation interesting as I might need to make a decision one day which way to go.
It sounds like you don't need glasses to walk, just to drive. Oh, movies and tv I need my contacts or regular glasses on.
DR Jeanne, good news about the insurance. We are beginning to look at other options besides Medicare..... GROAN! We thought we were done with this.
I have expensive toric contacts, expensive progressive lenses (the lenses were very expensive), and medium priced reading glasses.
DR DRUXY posted on BookFace that the surgery was successful. He is home, but his vision is very BLURRY.

But after you have the surgery the colors are just amazing.
I passed on that surgery.
I used to make a lot of good foods, but no more.
Matthew is only hours away from making land in Florida.

My eye doctor offered me the option of having a lens put in one eye so that I could read close up with the one eye and distance with the other.
Basically I did nothing all day.
We are supposed to have our first wind storm of the season tonight.

I know a couple of people who tried that. One is my aunt who really liked it (but now she doesn't wear contacts any more), and the other is a friend who didn't really like it and gave up on it.

Did your friend have the lens surgically removed?
He said she doesn't wear contacts anymore. I expect that means she did mono vision with contacts vs surgery.
Basically I did nothing all day.
Good for you. :)
I would hope monovision was tried with contacts before making a decision to have it done surgically.
