Good morning, all! This morning, I am meeting a Miami University friend at his hotel for breakfast, then I shall return here, and rummage through a lot of cartons in search of an orchestra score.
Last night I dreamed my band was playing a wedding in Philadelphia, and, through a series of strange incidents, I'd asked a young lady - who had told me in a telephone conversation that she played accordion - if she'd like to play with the band in Philly. So, when I met the young lady, she was a child, maybe six at most, who played accordion neatly as large as she, very insecurely. Also in this dream were the girl's elderly uncle, her two brothers in their teens, and the mother of my goddaughter Emily, who lives in Toldeo, OH!
When the alarm rang, i was trying to write accordion charts for this little girl. She had a new frock for her appearance with the band, and I couldn't say no to her.
