Topic of the Day:  First, I'd love to fly to California and see one the of the Kritzerland shows live!  I'd also visit my two aunts that live in the area...one's in Glendora and I'm not sure where the other one lives, but they're not too far from each other.  Then, I'd love to go back to NYC.  Not only to see shows on Broadway (and off-Broadway, and maybe even off-off-Broadway), but also to visit the east coast HHW contingent! ;D

This afternoon, the family is getting together at my mom's house.  I'm sure we'll play Phase 10 again.  If there's time after that, I might go to my sister's to help take down the cloth covering the gazebo in her back yard.  It's all fairly lightweight, but it's tall, so they need help with that.  But whether I do that or not, I have to be downtown at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts to work concessions for the WILCO | ODE TO JOY TOUR

A couple of weeks ago I posted about laste night noises in the street that I thought might be the garbage neb or a crew putting up scaffolding. Well, it happened again last night. I was awakened from a sound sleep ast 12:41 by a huge crash and a flash of light thjat made me think the TV had been hit by lightning. This was followed by sounds of shouting, grinding gears anda very ;pid noise of a huge engine., I got out of bed, checked the clock, and went to the window to see what was going on.

I could see nothing beyond very bright lights, but I sure heard plenty. A frightened Stella stayed by my side, but Annabelle and Thatch had vanished. I called them but got no response. I went back to bed.  Two hours later I woke for a bathroom break, and there was no sign of A or T. I figured they were hiding from the earlier noise and went back to bed. Around 4:00 trhey showed up. Annabelle vrawled under the blankets and settled by my knees. Thatch pay on top of the blankets next to me. 5:30 came too early.

This morning I must make a trip to the 68th Street 10023 post office. I can't go to my local one because it has stairs. I need to send a direct deposit form to the Philly Pops and post my vote to the NY Board of Elections.

Wow!   This article about a new CD release of Judy Garland's famous Carnegie Hall concert says that commercial releases have always been sharp, and that the new release has been remastered and re-pitched (lower).

DR JEANNE that was a terrible story yesterday.  I would suggest that you continue to try Consumer Cellular - my brother in law has it and he is most pleased and is saving quite a bit of money.

Last night I was tired from the running around all day, getting the two jabs, and partying it up at the cemetery. Came home, ate a comfort food pot pie, and called it an early night. I think I was zonked out by 10 pm.

Then, starting at 12:30 am, I began waking up almost every hour, thinking it must be almost morning... but except for one bathroom break at 2:30 am, I just rolled over (gingerly, very gingerly, on my two shot-up arms) and got right back to sleep. It was a good kind of exhaustion, and the sleep totaled about eight hours -- which is all too rare for me.

So I feel fine today -- as well as that can be determined on first arising -- but I shall very much enjoy taking it easy.

I'm thinking that watching a few good horror movies -- accompanied by more comfort foods, of course -- will be just the ticket.

I am home from the post office. I had one very good taxi criver and one so-so. I used the self-service atomatede kiosk, but it told e the street address on the priority mail for the Philly Pops offices was not a good address! It did accept the city and zop code, so I hope it gets there. I will keep my eye on the tracking number.
