Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a lovely first day of notes, and now it is time for you to post until the lovely first day cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: RAPPORT!
-
And for no other reason that "because," here's Annie Lennox playing the Moonlight Sonata (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQ1nVnxu3ec). :)
-
Off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Seventeen pages and that's it for tonight. I'll finish up listening to the Franz Schreker orchestral album, which is wonderful, and then bedtime.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I woke around 1:00 with intense abdominal cramps, and the rest of the night was pretty much a disaster. I did have a strange dream in which I had to dress in formal attire and escort Lauren Bacall to some event on East 21st Street. The dream involved a taxi that never arrived, a friend who rode a horse to Miss Bacall's apartment, and a vivid red cape she wore.
-
I plan on having a quiet day.
-
BK, good news about Project One.
-
Good morning.
-
Former DR Dan(the man) reminded me of another Netflix series we've been enjoying: Pretend It's a City.
Raconteur Fran Lebowitz, interviewed by Martin Scorsese, talks about life in New York City. And goes places. It's fresh and funny.

I used to be a fan of hers, but she's one of the most unpleasant and charmless people I've ever met.
-
I'm not Rapport.
-
Continued Project One vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
Good Bryan news from DR JANE.
-
Temps in the 40's today here outside my house. That is a good thing.
-
My mother took this shot from her back porch a few mornings ago, in northern New Jersey:
-
Good morning, all.
-
It was a night for weird dreams. Two major ones were similar to many others.
I started to describe them, and gave up. They were two relatively simple situations, but to explain all the background and how they relate to past dreams and to moments in real life would be an exercise in futility.
-
Good morning!
-
DR JEANNE - 2021 is a grounded year, the year of the metal ox.
And there is a new moon tonight.
Forget about past failures—with a new moon in industrious Capricorn today, it’s time to think about the future and how you can best fulfill your amazing potential. The Goat is upwardly mobile, and this hardworking lunation encourages you to reach for the stars!
The sun is also in diligent earth sign Capricorn today, doubling your chance of success. You now have the patience and discipline to not only get started on your New Year’s resolutions, but also to follow through on projects you might have put off at the end of last year.

Kitty cleanup finished, bed made, mail picked up, and recyclables taken to basement. After breakfast and meds, I will pay a few bills and work on Oh, Boy!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I just want to stay in bed.
-
But I can already tell I need my allergy meds soon.

It sounds wonderful. But I can still like her since I’ve never met her.
-
I'm not Rapport.
And I’m not Michael Rapport either.
-
It’s supposed to get up to 66 today. That’s a nice change of pace.
-
Now it’s time to start unpacking.
-
Two!
-
DR Jrand70, I saw this and thought of you!

Wow.
-
The internet went down last night shortly after my last post.
-
Keith reset it when he got up this morning.
-
George I am guessing it was also raining and windy here though I can't be sure about the wind.
-
It’s supposed to get up to 66 today. That’s a nice change of pace.
A nice welcome home.
-
Forgot to mention: very glad to read that DR John G. is home safely.
-
And probably full of salty snacks.
-
George & Tom did the rain and wind stop? It is nice here and the sun has made an appearance.
-
Paying bills. It's very irritating. There's a new system out there that the hospitals here and in Louisville share that just doesn't work. They have activation codes on them that you're supposed to use and there's an expiration date. Mine are all in February, so, of course, the message I get is that they've expired.
-
I tried to sign up for the covid vaccine since I'm home, but the calendar is full.
-
I forgot that I get Monday off. First time.
-
Wednesday afternoon greetings! I slept quite late today and I'm not moving very swiftly.
-

Yikes, DR Elmore! What did you eat for dinner last night?

George I am guessing it was also raining and windy here though I can't be sure about the wind.
At around 4:00 am this morning, someone started up what sounded like a freakin' chainsaw! :o WTF??
They ran it for maybe 10 seconds, then it turned off...then about 15 minutes later, it started up AGAIN!! >:(
Fortunately, that also only lasted about 10 seconds, and didn't happen again.
-

It did, and when it did, it was almost instantly. Right now, it's also sunny and quite comfortable. I didn't even need to wear my jacket. I brought it with me to work, but so far I don't need to wear it.
-

That’s lovely
-
Tummy vibes for Elmore
-
Water leak resolution vibes for Singdaw and hubby
-
Congratulations to BK on successful filming
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven and a half hours of sleep.

My friend Deborah heard this in her neighborhood in Austin. The chainsaw would start certain mornings around 8 a.m. and run for too long. She is a night person and it drove her crazy.
Turned out a barbecue food truck had moved into her neighborhood and the owner was chainsawing the oak he needed for the smoker. It wasn't a daily thing, but it was always the first thing he needed to do on the days it was needed.
-
I set out for a Tex-Mex lunch and somehow ended up with Italian. Oh, well, it was good.
-
Good Morning - almost afternoon. Just getting things done. There are 3 musicals I'm working on this spring - all online - so I'm trying to get ahead. One of them I'll probably end up producing the video as well. All new experiences for the resume!
-
Sounds cool, Matthew. Are these musicals we would know?
-
I was going through my held mail and just ripped open a package. It was a transition top. I didn’t order it. Turned out it was held mail for someone else. I saw the mailman. He took everything, including the open package. It was mail meant for a hold basket next to mine at the post office. I wonder how much of my mail is with someone else.
-
I tried to sign up for the covid vaccine since I'm home, but the calendar is full.
Do you have to try every day until you can get a spot? I still have no clue when or how we will get ours.

We should have left our jackets home this morning. I was more concerned if I could walk at all. I did, and am relieved I didn't do too much damage to it yesterday.

Interesting. I hope the person didn't do it at four in the morning.

8 am to a night person might as well be 4 am.
-

Looks like the roster will include: Urinetown, Shrek, and Frozen Jr.
I'm not a fan of Shrek, but the kids are and that's what matters. The music is great, where the lyrics and book are trash, but I'm not a fan of the movie either, but I'm looking forward to the kids having fun.

True, just ask Bruce ;)

Well, they might be saying the vaccine is available for anyone 65 or older, but that's not one of the requirements for digning up for a vaccine date. Damn!
-
Que es un "transition top"?
-
Hmmmm....thanks DR ELMORE that book MIGHT be good......
-
Futzed and finessed, wrote a new page, then had a chili, cheese, onion, and egg burrito of my own making and then the rest of the chili, cheese, and onions. Very good all. I'll resume writing at three. Doesn't look like any mail today.
-
Que es un "transition top"?
If you are transitioning genders, it helps hold stuff in place that you don't want to emphasize. At least I would think so based on the artwork that accompanied the piece.

I'm getting caught up.
-
But I won't be by the time I have to work tomorrow morning.
-
So, Debbie Allen is getting a Kennedy Center honor. I wonder if they'll do the pig's blood ballet from Carrie.
-
I can be such a bitch.

That would be fun! ;D

I can be such a bitch.
And that's why we love you!

Hello, everyone.

I can be such a bitch.
And that's why we love you!
Thank you, George.

Went to the supermarket to stock up on a few basics. Ugh. I need to stop going during dinner hours.
-
Not much to report. I'm taking a semi-Me day. I washed six pair of jeans this morning. I had two new pair that needed to be washed for the first time, plus some older ones. Then went out for taco take-out, and am just relaxing now. This past year has challenged my stress management skills and I need to let go. I do love Me days.
-
Hi, John G.
Glad to see you survived the trip home. I meant to send you travel vibes, but somehow lost a week. :P

There are grounded years and ungrounded years? (No need to ask which 2020 was.) Maybe I should find out which ones are grounded and just not get out of bed during the others.

When I spoke to the accounting supervisor yesterday and we tried to figure out what's what, it was very clear that she did not understand her company's software. She doesn't need to know how to program, but she does need to know how to use the software to advise clients -- or staff. I suspect the software developers provided no training. I find it both scary and irresponsible.

Here's to quiet days.
TTFN.

Yup. It's both.

Yes, both.

DR Ginny are you making any progress on The Vanishing Half?

I thought those were called binders

Been trying hard to finish a novel about a trans Muslim person. It's called The Thirty Names of Night. It is losing me as it reaches its end. I know tragedy is coming.
-
Four!

It's strange after five weeks to not watch TV. And to not watch the news especially, given the day.
-
I have been without TV for about 15 years now. I liked it for the most part, except on heavy news days.
-
Filming is done and we got everything. So, barring me viewing stuff and wanting a pick-up, which I doubt, the dialogue is all filmed and Eric now has to shoot all his songs but the one he's done.

Great news.
-
Has anyone seen the hour-long documentary, Can a Computer Write a Hit Musical?
(Hold the Frank Wildhorn jokes.)
-
Wait, has he had a hit musical? I thought Jekyll and Hyde lost money both times around.
-
I'm running out of steam.
-
But first ...
-
Gratuitous post No. 100!
-
I'm sure you were waiting for that.
-
Good night, all.

We use the TV for watching shows, etc. We use our computers during the day for watching the news.
-
DR Jeanne we watched another episode of All Creatures Great and Small. One excellent reason for the remake is the beautiful scenery.
-
George & Tom did the rain and wind stop? It is nice here and the sun has made an appearance.
The wind continued for awhile, but I couldn’t tell you about the rain. We were in a total blackout. From the time I was cut off mid-post last night and remained off until 9:00 am this morning.
-
It was quite mild this afternoon, with temps in the fifties.
-
So, Debbie Allen is getting a Kennedy Center honor. I wonder if they'll do the pig's blood ballet from Carrie.
If they are down to Debbie Allen, I expect DR Jack should be in line for next year’s honors.
-
Is George out this evening?

No. I was just downstairs visitin' the necessary (a 1776 reference ;) ), and taking my pills that I had forgotten to take when I ate. ::)

UNDERPANTS
Easy for you to say!
-
Good night, George.
Good night, Tom.
-
I am shocked by these low posting days. We must not become errant and truant or I shall have to bitch-slap everyone from here to eternity and hell and back.
-
I has spoken.
-
Most unseemly.
-
Well, at least we're on page 5...it could be worse. ::)
