I've given up looking for them. I'm going to the Library of Congress to photocopy them on Friday.

We have 2 friends who sing with the Dayton Opera Chorus and we've never been to a performance.  We heard a promo on the radio tonight for their upcoming DAUGHTER OF THE REGIMENT and I've been investigating tickets.  For the kind of seats we like it would cost $70 each to attend the D-a-y-t-o-n Opera  ::)

John G., Swishy Sarah was one of our teens here at one time, until she went away to college and had to study all the time.
I know the feeling.

that is high. I don't think the San Antonio Opera charges that much.

BTW, DR Ginny, does Dayton still have a good orchestra? I remember enjoying it and the contemporary dance company a lot when I lived in Middletown.

Thank You, DRs vixmom and Jane - And as it turns out, I may already have another place lined up. One of the "kids" that I played a Disney Cruise Line audition for is looking for a sublettor because he'll be starting on the Disney Dream next week. It really is a small world after all. ;)

DR JohnG, that's not the cheapest ticket, but it's not the most expensive, either.  I was shocked!  There's a Miami University Men's Glee Club concert the same night that we could attend for a lot less money.

Have you taken any classes or master classes with either William Bolcom or Joan Morris?

Excellent!!

It's a world of laughter, a world or tears
its a world of hopes, its a world of fear
theres so much that we share
that its time we're aware
its a small world after all

There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone.
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small small world

Yes, the Dayton Philharmonic is still in business, as is DCDC.  Actually, the arts are pretty strong in Dayton - amazing for a town that's otherwise on the skids.  I was surprised to see so many opera seats already taken.

There are strict instructions with my movie pass about immediate family only.  Since my "immediate family" living here  all have 4 legs, I have adopted Paul as my brother

How stupid. Instructions? They gave you 4 passes, then they say you can only use them at one time. And now only with family, when you have no family in town?

Ok, so I've seen all of the new season's Dancing with Stars competitors.....not that impressed.   But it's only the first dance....we'll see what happens next week.   I see some potential, but we'll see.

Well, Martin Katz is more of a mentor and idol to me. He's a true Accompanist's Accompanist.

It's one family pass for up to 4 people.  I was thinking 4 passes. So that part was my mistake.  No one is going to check IDs.  I think they just don't want to have me passing it around to people when I'm not using it.  If someone goes with me,  I'm sure there will be no questions
