I hope to be done with the meeting by one or one-thirty, and then I'll have about five hours to do the DVD closet thing.

So, who here will be watching the Super Bowl?  Who here will be watching the Grease rerun?  Who here will be dancing in their pantaloons?

Who here will be eating marzipan?  Who here will be sitting on their couch like so much fish?  Who here will be coming out of the closet that they just cleaned?

Kubrick's film will for ever be in my top 10 favourite films or all time.

Skip just made a delicious eggs benedict.  He kept saying the sauce was too runny, but I never would have known; it was just really great.

Jodie Foster starred as Nell Bludipintidiblu.

Mr Modugno's 79th birthday was January 9th. He was much more than a One Hit Wonder in Italy. His "Piove" (Ciao Ciao Bambina) is also very well remembered.

I wonder if DR Ben's fruitcake icing was Almond Icing rather than Marzipan.   Almond Icing is more commonly used as the first layer.

I always preferred Mr. Mudugno's Volare to Mr. Martin's.

I love eggs benedict - I had them yesterday at the Broadway Deli, where they were decidedly mediocre.  Best Eggs Benedict ever was at the late great Ollie Hammond's on La Cienega, followed by the late great Nickodell's.  I haven't had great Eggs Benedict in a 'coon's age.

One of my rarer 45s is Pia Angeli's version of "Volare".

Last night's viewing  was "Carmen". We enjoyed it very much. Beautiful locations.  Mr Domingo was not that believable as Don José but it is Opera so such things are acceptable.

The phrase "Griddle Loins" comes to mind. (An unusual way of cooking though)
