Got back from the rehearsal at 7:00 pm, way later than I'd expected. They went 3 1/2 hours with no break. But all is well, and it was an interesting experience.

I am now fed and drunk (not that way) and ready to watch a good show.  Anybody know of any?

Wonderful!  I just made it in time to watch the show.  I started watching on my phone and eventually made it up to my bedroom and watched it on my computer and my big screen TV. :D :D :D

DR JOHN G - "The Farmer and the Cowman" is a polka, I think.

These dreams from DR ELMORE & DR CHAS SMITH were rejected by the Dream-O-Matic 6000.....

:o I don't believe that that's ever happened before!

We should probably be glad he didn’t force them through it. The resulting sparks and smoke and flames would have been frightening, and who in the HELL knows how long it takes to get a repairman out there.

When we lived in Connecticut there weren't many places to get decent bagels.  I either got them from Long Island on the rare occasions I went with a friend, or I drove to Lender's.

My two places here are a local chain called Bagelman, and (surprisingly) Stew Leonard's where they make the bagels right there in our store. There used to be a another mom & pop place that made an even more NYC-like bagel that was to die for, but they've been gone for years now. There might be other decent ones, but it's not something I think to go out and explore.

Here in Olympia, there used to be a place called Bagel Brothers and their bagels were the best!  Sadly, they closed about three years ago. :(

Actually, I just looked at the Bagel Brothers Facebook page and the last post was September 17, 2017, almost exactly three years ago.

Thanks to all who watched!  Yes, we'll leave it up for a while - they'll all come down eventually, I think.  At our best tonight between the two sites we had a bit over 200 people - I was hoping for hundreds of Petula fans but alas they did not materialize - although there had to be sixty or seventy of 'em - and the poor people had to wait until the very end. :)  Off to get some melon balls, baby - need a treat and that's calorie free.  The Chinese chicken salad was great and I think it was probably 700 calories.
