I've been cleaning my humble abode, and it must be mating season for dust bunnies, becasue they're breeding like,...well, rabbits.

Yep... It's a lazy afternoon here at Chez Harlem.  However, it looks like I'll be heading out in a few with my roommate, Jim, and his father (who's visiting this weekend) for a late brunch at Community Food & Juice.  -Blueberry Pancakes! YUM!!

And not just any blueberries, Wild Main blueberries-DOUBLE YUM!

DR Tomovoz, how many nights did you stay in London?

Did you take all these photos or are they a combination of yours & Colin's?

I loved the Summer of '42 album that also had Michel Legrand's score to "Picasso Summer" on it.

5 nights in London DR Jane.

Colin tends to use his video camera.

As With DR Laura - remember there are many discarded photos!

DR Tomovoz....I keep meaning to  say thankyou for the wonderful postcard! That was so nice to be remembered during your trip.

And that snap of the British squirrell is my favorite of all your pictures posted thus far!

I had not received any Paramount review discs all week, a first since I took over the account last December. At 6:30 last night, the doorbell rang with the UPS man holding four packages, all from Paramount. Among them were the new DVD release of THE BOYS IN THE BAND (due in stores November 11) and THE STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO, Season 2, Volume 2. I never watched the TV show during its run, but I reviewed volume 1 a few months ago and really enjoyed it, so I requested volume 2.

November is going to be a very heavy TV month for me from Paramount. I'm also expecting the next season of JAG, the last season of THE ODD COUPLE, and the next season of HAWAII FIVE-O.

MATT H-Do you think that CHICAGO HOPE will be released soon?

I haven't seen any release news about it. Now that I know you're interested, I'll keep a lookout for it.

Drove my mom to get her flu shot at The Doctor's Clinic, then we had lunch at Adam's Ribs.

Mom had a bowl of chili and I had a buffalo burger with hushpuppies. It was quite tasty.

I noticed, as we were stepping into the place, there was a big sign attached above the door...it said "America! You will reap what you sow." And inside there were lots of quotes from the bible.

I don't know what it all meant but we were too hungry to worry about it, or the surly teenage waitress.

What a beautiful day it's turned out to be! And warm, too! I've got the house opened up, this time for warm air rather than to cool it down!

I watched Thursday night's SMALLVILLE while I cooked and ate lunch. A very good episode after a couple of weeks of middling efforts. I really enjoyed this one.

I skimmed through yesterday's AS THE WORLD TURNS. No Luke but he and Noah (and Lucinda and Wheatley) were in the previews for next week.

I put in the Blu-ray to FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE. A step up in picture quality from DR. NO that I watched a few nights ago. Gorgeous looking with great color consistency and breathtaking sharpness. Robert Shaw has NEVER looked so beautiful (nor has Sean Connery).

I checked out the transfer of MAFIOSO. Same as the one I reviewed some months ago.

The next movie is not BILLY LIAR (it comes after the next one). I'll be doing THE DISCREET CHARM OF THE BURGOISIE when I go back down.

DR Kerry - ***ANKLE AND PLUMBING VIBES!!!***

GREAT NEWS about DR JoseSPiano's Mom!!!  :D

Happy to read that DP Ant is home safely.

Love the photos of Laura DR's new backyard and former DR François's  front yard!

Also - beautiful fall foliage, DR Jane!

DR Vixmom - sorry to hear of your dental horrors.  Feel better soon!

I had an emergency trip to my dentist yesterday afternoon, but it wasn't so horrible and had a successful outcome.

DR Cillaliz, great news about your laptop.

Feel better, DR SWW!

DR Ginny, enjoyed reading about all the Ohio things in your basket.

What he said....I'm not very good at keeping track but vibes to those who need them and Cheers for those who have good things happening.  Cop out, but better than nothing ;)

My dry wall guy showed up to see the room today.  It's much smaller than he thought it would be (I could have told him that)  He's going to get the prices of materials on Monday to give me a real estimate, but said that in 1 1/2 days he could frame it, hang the dry wall, tape, mud and texturize it!.. Woo hoo!  I have a feeling it will be a reasonable estimate and and I'd really like to hire him to do it.  If so he may be able to do it next weekend.   Once that is done, I can paint it, and I'll either paint the cement floor or put down some sort of tile. Then I have the carpet remnant I got for $15.  I've already got furniture to move in there and it will be a great sun room in the basement. I'd like to replace the sliding glass door, but that can wait a little while.  I should check out the supply at the Habitat for Humanity store. I may be able to find one fairly cheap. Then all I need to find is someone who can install it!

I'm having a reaction to my flu shot. I've never had that happen before. I have a big red welt where I got it and it's a very hot red welt. I took a Claritin and a nap this afternoon. It seems to be a little better
