DR Jennifer, our doctor will charge $30 at the office flu clinic.  I priced a local pharmacy at $27.00 a shot.

As far as I know there is no waiting period following the vaccination at either location.

I don't think Keith has ever had a flu shot shot & after his last bout said he would get one this year.  I'm still not sure it is a good idea for me to risk the vaccination.  At least if Keith doesn't get the flu my chances are reduced.

Of course I think squirrels are cute.  We don't have them in OZ!

They are cute, especially watching them steal all the food in the bird feeders. ;D

DR Jrand, that is some prom dress!

LOL.....you know it.  Cousin Lana was the Queen of Cloverdale High School....cheerleader, drum majorette, leads in the musicals, Girl Scout leader, and all that good stuff.....  You can't really see her tiara......and of course her date was her steady, Eddy, the star of the basketball team.  And that year Cloverdale had gone to the Sweet 16.....which doesn't even exist anymore.

They decided to have me make the bulletins instead of using the denominational ones. Lots more work.

Will it be more work every time, or just setting up the initial format?

Well, our birds fight back and eat the squirrel's corn and steal their peanuts.

I got mine from a nursing place for $25.00   My reaction is going down.  It was a very minor reaction.  I've been getting flu shots ever since the late 80s when I get the flu and was so sick I thought I was going to die.

I have a squirrel hanging from my bird feeder almost all the time.  My mom likes to throw them leftover Christmas cookies (after the holiday, of course not now) and it's really funny to see them carrying different colored cookies up the trees

Funny.  I'm surprised the squirrel's don't devour the corn before the birds can get to it.

Our squirrels don't eat the corn- they like the birds' sunflower seeds - maybe they're afraid of the deer.

Yep... It's a lazy afternoon here at Chez Harlem.  However, it looks like I'll be heading out in a few with my roommate, Jim, and his father (who's visiting this weekend) for a late brunch at Community Food & Juice.  -Blueberry Pancakes! YUM!!

And not just any blueberries, Wild Main blueberries-DOUBLE YUM!

<nod>

-Although, I decided to have their traditional breakfast today - two eggs (over easy), canadian bacon, carrot hash browns and a whole wheat biscuit.  And I washed it all down with a totally yummilicious Hot Buttered Cider.  Jim's father did have the Blueberry Pancakes, and he really liked them - and ended up treating us to brunch too!  :)

Carrot hash browns?

Carrot hash browns?

Yes, "Carrot Hash Browns".  However, that menu desciption/title is a bit misleading.  Basically, it's regular potato-based hash browns with some shredded carrots added to them.  It is not like the Indian "Carrot Halwah" - which is made of shredded carrots.

*And the first time I ordered them there, I thought they were going to be like mounds of pan-fried shredded carrots.  Nope.

DR George (and others) - I'm listening again the Marguerite Cast Recording yet again.  So much beauty.

The Synopsis is available on the NET.

There are some beautiful melodies from Michel Legrand.
