In other Playbill news

Debbie Reynolds in Night Music?

And "American Idol" Jordin Sparks is going into In The Heights.

Hmmm... Although, Corbin Bleu worked out nicely.

Sad and surprised about Lynn Redgrave.  I had read just yesterday about a local actor who was to attend her master acting workshop.

I saw her on B'way in MY FAT FRIEND and in KNOCK, KNOCK years ago...

Yes, I just read an article, I think, in Playbill about her upcoming Master Class at 10 Chimneys in Wisconsin.

THat was another (minor) shock--I had always thought that 10 Chimneys was up along the Hudson somewhere.  I guess the Lunts took the 20 Century Limited back and forth (and then a Greyhound bus...)

Yes, it's in Wisconsin, near Madison. Even though Anthony worked at Fireside Dinner Theatre twice I was never able to get there. The facility has limited hours and it was not open either time I was there. Anthony made friends with one of the volunteers and got a special tour. I'm terribly jealous!!!

Topic of the Day (addendum):  "The Sixth Sense."  I had no clew that that was going to happen and was completely gobsmacked when it was revealed.

Assuming the publisher okays it, this will probably be the front cover photo for my book.

Actually, I'm on the top of the Empire State Building, but the photographer had a long range lens on his camera.

Nice picture, Druxy. :)

I like two of the three final teams on TAR.....my favorite is the team is second place right now....or even the team in third place...first place team is just lucky and should have gone home a long time ago.

I agree completely.  If the undeserving team wins, *I* may move to "the Iraq."  ;)

LOL!!!  I'll look at my maps and such

And now, it's time to leave for work.  Today is our first day without our library's (now former) computer system.  We don't "go live" on the new system until Thursday, May 13! :o I'm sure that we'll be kept busy...but with what, that's the answer I don't know. ;)

Pray for Rosemary's Baby!

When I saw THE CRYING GAME at the theatre I either already knew what the twist was, or figured it out very early on. Aside from that, I remember absolutely nothing about the film.

Thanks George, the appointment is at 3:00 PM.   She's been acting strange for the past week and has been finding better and better places to hide when it's meds time.  She was pretty good yesterday when I was home all day, but this morning was cringing again and acted like she was in pain.  I feel so bad for her.

And I certainly don't consider THE CRYING GAME to be even close to the best of the movies made in the 90s when in actuality BABY'S DAY OUT was the best movie made in the 90s.

I, and the other 3 people in the audience certainly thought so, anyway.

OMG, I actually think I saw that movie!   I did love The Crying Game, though

Once you've been told there is a twist, it's pretty easy to guess it - what I'm saying is if anyone saw The Crying Game and HADN'T heard there was a "twist" then I really doubt anyone would have guessed.  Whereas the "twist" in The Sixth Sense was so obvious to me I thought who couldn't guess this?

I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hope that people remember Finian's for the Tonys. Shows that have closed seem to be forgotten quickly and some are talking up La Cage as the winner for best revival. While it's not the mess I thought it might be (and believe it or not, I actually thought KG did a good job), Finian's was so much better and so much more deserving of the Tony. But that's not the way the awards work anymore.

I saw ISLAND OF LOVE at the movies.....i didn't know what was going on, but I thought Georgia Moll....or whatever her name was....was pretty funny....

Isn't this the movie where they're making a movie version of "Adam & Eve"?
