MERRY CHRISTMAS  esteemed, joyous, sated, well-fed, and elfish BK  --

Congratulations on what sounds like a "marvelous party" (and a yule Noel Coward reference).  Our little quiet evening was very nice.

DR Kerry gave me a box of yummy looking imported gingersnaps (of which he promises to eat none), and he surprised me by giving me a beautiful small framed pastel drawing that I had seen earlier in the year and really liked.  It was drawn by an artist friend of his.  I also got a very cool tie with wonderful John Held figures all over it....kind of an orchestra/musical theme, and very 30s New Yorker magazine looking.

Also, like DR Jason, my mom gave me a brand new digital camera and our friend Al gave me a lot of the "add-on goodies" that go with it.

One of the add-ons was a greatly increased capacity memory card that hand hold tons of memory......Kerry has been trying to figure out how to plug it into my head all morning.  ;)

Merry Christmas to you Jack.

We have to get ready to drive north (about 1 3/4 hours)  to Prescott, to take our nephews their Christmas presents, and visit with more family.

Have a GRAND day, and we'll be back later to look at
LOTS MORE PICTURES........

(hint hint, nudge nudge, wink wink,......eh,  BK )

A very very merry Christmas to all!

bk's partay was lovely. Much laughter, good conversation, delicious food. What's not to like?
It was fun to meet in person DR's Jay, Noel and Joy, and to see DR Charles Pogue and his lovely wife, Julieanne once again. My daughter, who is visiting from school in San Francisco, did not know a soul at the partay, except bk, and still had a wonderful time. ...Which is one indication of what a comfortable, easy atmosphere our charming host provided.

Good morning and Merry Christmas to one and all!  Posters and Lurkers alike.

The Honey Baked Ham is defrosting and in a few hours I will bake the sweet potatos and Green Bean Casserole.  Yum!

I'm glad you all had a good time at BK's party.

Hope Santa was good to each and everyone of you.

An ear, you say, Matt H.  I thought so.  It was to thin to be a tail but my Mom still says that's what it is.  I'm not going to agrue--not today anyway!  :)

Have a good day all.

Good Morning! once again, and Merry Christmas, DRs!

As for what I got for Christmas this year, I'll have a better idea of my "inventory" once I head back up to Fairfax in a little bit and spend the day with my family.  So far, however, I did get a nice handheld percussion/heat massager thingy.  And I also picked up a pair of those around the head ear-muffs for my trip to NYC in January.

So, I'll report back later once I'm back up in Fairfax.

-I'm watching The Color Purple on HBO right now... Which means I'll be bawling like a baby in about 40 minutes or so... And getting very misty-eyed a few times in between now and then. ;)

Happy Holidays!

I'm up a little earlier than the lovely wife, Julieanne, so before she rouses and we commence Christmas (ripping off the wrapping paper on among other gifts, this intriguing package from Mr. BK that I am most curious about), I thought I'd reiterate my delight with regard to BK's partay last night.  Thanks ever so for including us, Mr. Kimmel!  We had a swellegant time... delish food  (including wonderfully tasty desserts contributed from H/Ks, Jose and Sandra and Laura) and charming company.  I believe the lovely wife has bonded with Ms. Deutsch tighter than Siamese Twins and we both enjoyed ourselves immensely.  I especially enjoyed touring the house with something eye-catching on every wall and corner.  I particularly covet the original Cornell Woolrich manuscript.  We came home and decided to watch REMEMBER THE NIGHT with Fred McMurray and Babs Stanwyck (as the lesser-seen alternative to your average  over-exposed Christmas fare), but your do had completely tuckered Julieanne out and she dozed off while watching.  So we went to sleep instead with visions of sugar plums, etc.

Thanks again!  Happy Christmas everyone!

Good morning and Merry Christmas to all the Dear Readers and Dear Lurkers.

We had a lovely trip, filled with much fun and laughter. DR Sandra loves her Swedish Chef Hat, and said hat had a lovely time in Las Vegas. Here's a photo of Swedish Chef Hat enjoying the Las Vegas Strip....

I just got the witty title of today's column! Once again BK is the tops.
Maybe it should be "Christmas Hollywood Babble On"?

PS I am on my lunch break at work.

Merry Christmas! Happy Chanukah!  We do it all here.  Today Echo will wear her Christmas bandana instead of her Chanukah one.

Jay I love the picture.  It looks like I should have stayed in LA a bit longer.
I had the slowest painters on earth and am very happy to be home.  Our son will call from Romania today and at the last moment our older son was able to come home for two days.  Unfortunately he arrived with the flu.

I hope you all have a great day.

Amont the many nice gifts (incluiding a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker) I got there was one that Hainsies & Kimlets will probably appreciate.  The toosiefromsie was marked To Bill From Miss Mona and the Girls of the Chicken Ranch and it was a big can of Hard Candy!

Jane!!!  We've missed you here!!!  Indeed, you would have had a blast at last night's soiree, and all the attendees would have treasured your presence.

Glad you made it home in one piece.  Best wishes to you and yours for a Merry Christmas and a terrific 2004.  (And quick recovery from the flu!)

P.S.  Did the painters leave a signature on the baseboard?

Happy Holidays to All! Just got in from my unexpected brunch, and the food was delicious. I am stuffed to the gills (like so much fish, as BK would say), and just want to sit in front of the TV and enjoy some of the great DVDs I got as gifts. I was most excited about LA STRADA, YANKEE DOODLE DANDY, THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD, TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE, and (my gift to myself) THE UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG.

Will be back again later today after my movie break.

You are so sweet.  And yes, the painters left their signature on the baseboard in the form of uneven lumpy painting along with paint on the new carpet.  I’m not really an idiot.  The plan was to put the carpet in after they painted, but they took SO LONG I had to go ahead with the carpet.

But now I am home and drinking incredible hot chocolate.  For Chanukah I received chocolate from an Armenian store in Portland.  Keith steamed sweetened milk for me then I added my Ghirardelli chocolate cocoa mix, topped it with foam then shaved in the chocolate, that just happens to taste like hot chocolate, on top of the foam.  Time for seconds.

Lovely Christmasy posts this morning.

For two people who just met, Panni and Vinnie have that special glow about them, don't they?  But, never fear, that was just a Christmas glow because Vinnie has a lovely girlfriend, our very own Miss Stefanie Fife, who has played cello on nearly every album I've produced.

Here is our next photo:

This is Mr. Sam Lembeck, son of Miss Babara Deutsch, and human being in his own right.  In this clever photo, Mr. Lembeck is taking a photo of me.

Our next photo is our very own Noel and Joy, here from the Eastern Coast of the East.  In this clever photo they are sampling the famous BK spaghetti sauce, which is conveniently located on the famous BK spaghetti, which is conveniently located on a festive plastic plate.
