The Pad See Eu was very good.  The sauce was excellent.  Next time I need to add more tofu and soak the noodles longer to soften them, and add more sauce.

Mr Waller's one time singing partner Peter Asher is somewhat better known these days.

Hmm....

Well, it appears one of my roommates has become totally smitten with a new young man.  So much so, that I guess when she cooked him dinner last night, she must have dropped a wine glass.  And did not fully clean up all the broken glass.  I almost ended up heading to the E/R again.  Thankfully, I noticed the three shards on the ottoman before I had placed my hands on it to move it.   :-\  -And there was also some broken glass in the dishwasher too - apparently, from a wine glass too.  ???

Unbelievable!!!  I'm agog, simply agog.  I just had an e-mail from someone to whom I sent an urgent overnight package to arrive at noon today.  Guess what?  It arrived in NY at the Express Mail Center at two-thirty, and there it sits.  It's scheduled to be delivered in the morning.  But, I can get my money back.  Needless to say, I was apoplectic, because this was a very time-sensitive thing that has to do with The Brain, and I said to the lady I spoke to that if their ineptitude is responsible for anything that would preclude the package from being considered (it was REALLY time-sensitive) then the twenty-one bucks wasn't going to do the trick.  She gave me the number of consumer affairs and said I can file a formal complaint and try to get more recompense and let me tell you if that package isn't there first thing in the morning that is EXACTLY what I'll be doing, BIG time.  And, frankly, the morning may be too late - I won't know that until tomorrow.

FedEx?  I'm guessing.

-I know the few times that the USPS has failed me with their Express Mail, I've always been able to get a refund.  FedEx has a bit too much fine print in their "agreement".

My guess is that it was FedEx. But you know how I feel about FedEx.

I am still waiting for the letter of apology from customer service, by the way.

Isn't the FedEx morning arrival time by 10:30?  I think noon must mean USPS (also that BK says Express Mail Center).

Well, I was going by the $21.00 price tag.  And FedEx also has Express Mail centers.

FedEx has three categories of overnight - one by 10:00, one by Noon, and one by COB the next day.  Although, they also have a option for early morning delivery by 8:00 now, I think.

In any case...

I hope the package is not too late.  (Ah, and almost Romance, Romance reference.)

Slap her.  There's a difference between smitten and messy just as there isn't much difference between rude and inconsiderate.

I spent the first part of the evening finishing DUBARRY WAS A LADY. As I said earlier, it's never been one of my favorite movie musicals. I don't find it very funny and the songs are only fair, both from Cole Porter and the new ones interpolated into the movie.

Trust me.  She's due for a good talking-to after the past week or so. Let's just say that due to her "sleepovers", another one of the roommates has had to sleep downstairs on the couch in order to get some peace and quiet.

All the good Cole Porter songs, and most of the original script, were too smutty for Hollywood.

Next I watched tonight's Gay Images in Film movie that I hadn't seen before - MANHATTAN PARADE which was a really lousy film. Bobby Watson played a very effeminate costume designer, and the movie also had a lot of tiresome Smith and Dale routines and Winnie Lightener as a woman with a cheating husband. Really bad film that age hasn't helped at all.
