DR TCB - my predecessor in my job, who retired 3 years ago, was hovering over my desk this week.  The good thing was that I was able to talk him out of some Annie Oakley ephemera that will soon be on its way to you.  Watch your mailbox!

Well, I was going to say Alfred Molina in Frida, but I figured I'd really get nailed for that  ;)

Well, you could have said Alfred Molina in FIDDLER and everyone would have laughed.

Today's listening:  Joe Brown & the Bruvvers. I doubt that Mr Bown  is known in North America. He was in "Charlie Girl" in the West End, was in the movie "Mona lisa" and directed "Pump Poys and Dinnettes" in London.

Joe Brown has that "charm" that made Tommy Steele, Freddie Garrity and Peter Noone successful pop stars.

LOL - I tried to get a ticket to see that in October 2004, but the guy at TKTS talked me out of it (actually, he told me that AM was not in the show that night).  I saw Brooke Shields in Wonderful Town instead and enjoyed it very much.

One of those things, I guess. I can't stop watching THE PRINCESS BRIDE if ever it is on. Probably one of the movies I've seen the most. So many people named other great performances that I enjoy.
Gene Wilder as WW, for instance.

I agree with TCB about ITCH. Can't stand that Tom Ewell.

"Frida"  was a disappointment.  All style and no heart IMHO.

I prefered the representation of the artists in  "Cradle Will Rock"  But then I'm always going to prefer Ruben Blades.

There would be If I were forced to watch.
Then again - the chair and the Patti Lupone would be a worse option.

Actually, I think it was Susan Hayward that got the chair.  Whoops, I think that was the gas chamber.

DR Tomovoz - Cradle Will Rock is one of my favorite movies.

I could add to the TOD, several of John Turturro's performances - in CWR, Quiz Show, and O, Brother, Where Art Thou?.  And, speaking of Quiz Show, I liked Ralph Fiennes and Rob Morrow in that.

Pretty sure nobody's watching the Stanley Cup. The ratings have been lower than dirt.

I did think that Patti was nicely subdued in that mishmash scene from SWEENEY that was on the Tony Awards.

Today's TOD could have actually been a Top 20 pretty easily.

So, DR Rodzinski, how was the craft fair?

Good grief, Rodzinski, I had trouble coming up with 10.  Not that there aren't hundreds of good choices, I just couldn't remember any names this morning.

The craft fair was kinda nice. A lot of homemade "hipster" kind of clothing and jewelry and such. TPunk bought some hair clips she liked. Then we ate and walked around a bit in Williamsburg which is really kind of like the East Village used to be. A lot of young folks live there and cool shops and whatnot. But alas, TPunk got a migraine on the way home and is wiped out for the night, costing HHW some serious posting power.

I'm now listening Josh Groban.  I wonder if "You Raised Me Up" has replaced "Wind Beneath My Wings" in the top ten songs to be sung at funerals.

Any interest in the world cup, Tomovoz? With your team doing pretty well so far? I don't really ever follow soccer, but I can follow it once every four years. I like the different nations competing. Like how often do you even hear Ghana mentioned for any reason?
