And that's what I watched when I went back downstairs. Hadn't watched it in several months (maybe a year), so I quite enjoyed watching it.

I wonder what the justification for casting Ralph Richardson as the father was. Since Basil Rathbone had won a Tony Award for it on stage, and he was certainly a known presence on screen, why wouldn't they use him. Was this some of the remnants of Holmes type casting hurting him in this instance? Did William Wyler not want him? Olivia? Was he busy doing something else?

When THE HEIRESS was over, I put in an NCIS second season episode. This afternoon, I happened to channel surf by some HD channel that was showing this episode, but it was 3/4 of the way finished, so I found the episode in the second season box set and watched it next. Very enjoyable one, about a marine who fell from a cliff in a park while shooting video, the camera capturing some of the "accident" which turned out to be murder.

Next came tonight's HUMAN TARGET. Another bold rescue attempt for Chance saving a lady doctor. Hard to believe anyone could survive so many close calls in one episode, but it IS escapist entertainment.

And now, it's time for me to leave work and put up a poster for my niece.  I bought one of those laser-light levels to put up shelves in my TV room, so now it'll get used again. :)

Until later!

And now I am off to bed.

I hear a siren, but I am hoping it is from one of the televisions down the hall and not out on the street....

Oh it stopped.....it was on television.

Watching "Fight Club" for the first time and just heard "Chiribiribin" as part of the soundtrack. Perfectly funny.

We had a fun time entertaining my cousin from Japan and his family.  He has an 18-year-old son from his first marriage and a 6-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter with his lovely current wife.  The little ones were quite comfortable with all of these American relatives and a joy to have around.  Their mom brought a several dishes to add to the feast.  Richard and Rob were great co-hosts and I'm about to crash.
