Vibes for Thatch and Elmore today.
I have another paint nite tonight.
Neve certainly is a lovely cat, as well.
Vibes for Thatch and Elmore today.
This is my week for them! I've got Thatch and the vet today and my eviction hearing on Thursday. Did I mention that my check for June's rent has cleared the bank?
I've set Thatch's carrier out and Annabelle has decided to sleep in it!
Good morning. I'll be leaving for the airport soon.
Watching a bootleg of Disaster! on YouTube and liking it more and more.
Skip Kennon makes awfully good friend chicken, and so did my father's mother in Appalachian Kentucky.

Thatch is with the vet, Stella's appointment is booked, and I am thoroughly irritated because of all the construction and bus delays on the Upper WQest Side are really pissing me off. There shouldn't be a 20+ minute wait between buses.
It is now setting in my carport to take tomorrow night....since I don't have rehearsal tonight.

TOD: Popeyes is the best around here, KFC is just too greasy. If I could get the chicken from Popeyes and the sides from KFC, that would be the best. Safeway stores makes a decent fried chicken as well, and not to expensive.
Thanks, vixmom, for the hat-tip to Skip's recipe - did you ever try the recipe yourself?

I would just like to remind everyone that there's at least ... one (1) person here who has never had a Skip friend <tm> chicken.
Depraved on account of I'm deprived.

I don't think I have the fried chicken recipe but I have made the flank steak and prime rib recipes he's shared and I get raves with the deviled egg recipe he gave me
Tuesday afternoon greetings! We had to be at our local hospital at 8:45 this morning for Richard to have a diagnostic nerve block for his neck and shoulder pain. He was kind of dizzy afterwards, so we picked up sandwiches on the way home instead of our usual brunch in a restaurant. He’s better now, but taking it easy.

Ive been having food tolerance issues (Dad said they started with him near 60 too), so I haven't had the fried chicken in a while either, but the flank steak vixmom mentioned is amazing. But we should if it's agreeable have some do here, maybe next time BK had a show in town that gets people converging here? Or some other time?
Liam/LeeLee loves having people over to potentially drop food, I mean, Liam/LeeLee loves having people over to give the place the feel of a party.

What's up with DC Thatch?
I'm hoping that Thatch behaves at the vet (unlike Joshie, who was a terror).
And vibes for Big Richard!

You can see what's left of the old driveway at the bottom right of the photo and the widened State Route 122, done around 2008. The cars are parked in the old driveway to the farm land. At the top of the photo you can see the new hospital.
GOOD LUCK and BEST REAL ESTATE VIBES on this one, DR Elmore!
That’s just across 75 from where DR Ginny and Richard and I met and ate. (Right?)

Great photo - did they use a drone to take it?
Hope it sells ASAP!

That's right, DR ChasSmith! And the hospital you see in the background is where we were this morning.
Do both brothers (or either of them) acknowledge that it was a mistake to wait and let a Great Recession start and no doubt other stuff happen in the local area that changed the picture? Do they still dream that it's ever going to be 2007 again?

Macbeth and I do not speak; I blame him and Lady M for their greed and pushing Randy around. At this point both brothers want to get rid of the property. We're all sick of paying taxes, but I still let Randy know the mess is on their hands for their mishanfling of the whole thing.
No word about picking up Thatch yet. Annabelle wants dinner and I will not feed her till Thatch is home.
There is a nice side table down the street out for collection....I think it would look good on the FLOWERS set....I think I shall walk down there and get it.
And it's a Postmates person who does the delivering, not the restaurant's employee.
Vibes of comfort to DH Richard.
I have another paint nite tonight.
Have a good time!
This prompted a memory that my mother and Aunt Jenny took a ceramics class in the 1960s.
Neve certainly is a lovely cat, as well.
Sweet photo of Neve from last night.
I agree with Matthew on Popeyes over KFC (don’t tell my Kentucky peeps). Surprisingly, I like McDonald’s buttermilk chicken strips.

That land was evaluated at $675,000 in 2007 when we paid the estate taxes, and we could have sold it but I had two brothers who wanted more for it. It still rankles. I hope we can get at least $300,000 for it.
I'm glad you were able to fix your phone, DR George. I believe that Staples repairs phones, but I have no idea what it would cost. Investing in a few tools is often worth it, IMO.
I always picture DK Neve as a dark charcoal color. Don't know why. Her marmalade color is very nice.
No word about picking up Thatch yet. Annabelle wants dinner and I will not feed her till Thatch is home.
Can you give her a small treat, or will that not help?
His echo cardiogram cost about $175 less than the first, so I was delighted, but i was thrilled even more by the news that, even with the lapse between today and his last dose of atenelol, he's doing okay. He will go back onto it and I'm happy that I can afford it again. May that continue!
REAL ESTATE VIBES to Larry.
PAGE FIVE CHICKEN STRIPS DANCE!!

He was terrified on the trip there and cried all the way. I felt so sorry for him.

Thatch and I are now home. He cried all the way home, but he's eaten, realized he's back in familiar territory and seems delighted to be home and to have dinner ready. He and Annabelle enjoyed their Fancy Feast Seafood Delight.

I'm afraid to ask what each echocardiogram actually cost.
We've been advised to get one for Poe, because with the kidney disease and a couple more minor things, he now has a slightly irregular heartbeat. It was strong and healthy for probably 15 of his 16 1/2 years, but things can change. We know the place to call to discuss it and get it set up. Anesthesia is an issue with him, too, with the kidney disease, and I really have no idea what a cat getting one involves.

May it work out with them both and you are pleased with the results.

I just sent you a PM. After June 2, our Sundays brunch time are mostly free all summer. (Not Saturdays, though)
I ran four of the GEE auditions by Muse Margaret, without telling her who they were from - she chose the one I was leaning toward and her second favorite was also the other one I was leaning toward - so, I'm going to have a conversation with the first choice, hopefully soon, see if we can settle on whatever the deal was and make sure she's up on what acx needs, because ultimately that's where it ends up. And then I'm going to offer the other gal the Adriana book and I'll have the best of both worlds, I think.
On my first trip to LA to mix UNSUNG SONDHEIM and Liz Callaway's Frank Loesser album, BK took me to a wonderful place for fried chicken and pancakes.
And now, I'm off to the movies. My friend Margo called, asking if I wanted to go tonight. I said, "sure." I don't know what movie we're going to see, but it's supposed to be a rom-com. I hope I like it.
Be back later!
This is what I spent this evening doing

Well, we saw Long Shot (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2139881/reference) starring Seth Rogan and Charlize Theron. It was definitely a rom-com, but not your typical rom-com. It was funny and a bit raunchy and really good. We both really liked it!
What is the secret to microwaving a potato? My guess is the extra butter is why it tasted good. Was the skin crunchy like it is out of the oven?

You can’t even get into a microwave.
How's the oscking going, TCB?
How's the oscking going, TCB?
The packing is just getting started.
I typed oscking and spellcheck converted it to packing.
To microwave a potato: cut an x in a large potato (after washing). Nuke for 5-6 minutes. Turn potato over. Nike another 5-6 min. Let sit for a coupla mins. Stick a fork in it for doneness.
