Tomovoz-Good vibes for Colin.  I’m glad he won’t loose his entire ear.  That skin cancer is a total pain, still, its better than melanoma.

Now, I'm off to clean the den, continue with Tab Hunter's autobiography, and then back to the movie world of Harry Potter.

Yesterday was my mother's 60th birthday.

Now, I am depressed!  I am only four years younger than TPunk's mother

Options are good, TPunk!

And gosh it has been a long, long time since I have had a tempting offer over the telephone. But that is another story.

What's your phone number?  Oh............ you said tempting.

Have now finished entering corrections for four of the seven short stories.  Now must take a food break.  Why do I sound like Tonto all of a sudden?

I guess it's really official:

Quote
Depp to Star in Burton's 'Sweeney Todd'
By Associated Press

LOS ANGELES - Johnny Depp is going from woozy buccaneer to murderous barber.

Depp is reuniting with director Tim Burton ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory") to play the title role in a film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's musical "Sweeney Todd," about a 19th-century barber seeking bloody revenge over his wrongful imprisonment.

The star of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," this year's biggest hit with a domestic gross of $400 million, is expected to do his own singing, said Marvin Levy, spokesman for DreamWorks, which is co-producing "Sweeney Todd" with Warner Bros.

"Sweeney Todd" marks the sixth collaboration between Depp and Burton, who scored a blockbuster in summer 2005 with "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," in which the actor played the reclusive candyman Willy Wonka.

Their other films together are "Tim Burton's Corpse Bride," "Edward Scissorhands," "Ed Wood" and "Sleepy Hollow."

The filmmakers plan to start shooting "Sweeney Todd" early in 2007.

I'm glad that "Sweeney Todd" is finally going to be filmed, but Depp's really going to do his own singing?? :P And is the score going to be (if you'll pardon the pun), hacked to bits or will it remain fairly intact?  AND will Sondheim write a new song (or songs) so that he'll be eligible for the Best Song Oscar®??

Can you imagine..."Benjamin and Lucy:  The Love Duet"...sung over the end credits, to give everyone that warm fuzzy feeling as they leave the theater. ;)

I have returned home from the hospital -  Avec Colin sans part of his ear.  He is fine. Thank you all.  (Of course the local anaesthetic has not won off yet!!).

Colin's surgeon was not a Demon Barber from Fleet Street.

One hour until the big show starts.  How much dancing and recaps do you think they will be able to fit into 2 hours?  I wonder if they will drop people one by one or do one big announcement at the end.

OK, I know there are not very many BIG BROTHER fans here on this sight...and probably few still who liked the first season of BIG BROTHER...but, I just found out that Jamie Kern's from that  first season is now a news reporter on our local channel 12 and she lives in Portland!

It just made me happy because she was nice and I liked her.

MBarnum-
Thanks again for your "attendance" at the show last night. Basically you were listening from right in the maelstrom of our makeshift sound system. I can't even imagine how that sounded, but the people seemed to enjoy it. All in all, a great return for the band.

And to Tomovoz, indeed I performed the correct lyrics. The more difficult is "there's a warm wind blowing; the stars are out," which is hard not to sing "there's a warm wind blowing the stars around."

Thanks for the welcome Rodzinski! And A Happy Birthday to Vixmon, even I don't know you guys well yet it's I always like to wish happy b'days. I have one coming up. I think my biggest and best present is a trip to New York with Cillaliz. So far we are planning on seeing the Drowsy Chaperone and possibly Chorus Line, and hopefully another or two. Where I live there isn't any theater, so whenever I'm in a place to see a show I get REALLY excited. I feel so culturally deprived here. There is hope though, once I finally finish school I can leave this place and head somewhere where I can enjoy live music, theatre, and the other little things that make life so much fun.

When I think about it, the last real performance I got to go to was a tour of Cats over in Springfield. Even though I had already seen it it was still a good show. We had 3rd row seats right in the center. I just now stumbled across playbill, and I was wondering if anyone has seen Hairspray. I'm a huge John Waters fan and wonder if it's a little warped like his movies tend to be. I love that kind of stuff. Anyway...what else is there to do on my dinner break..humm...eat?
