I just ate a very late breakfast of eggs over medium, toast, bacon, and am about to have some more coffee.

I am back from the market, where I spent too much money, and I am now in the midst of preparing tuna salad. That should keep me alive until my invoice check. or social security payment. kicks in.

After that, I'll watch a DVD. I'm leaning toward Ken Russell's THE DEVILS which I haven't seen since1973 or so, and the new BFI edition is calling me.

I love THE DEVILS.  Saw it a couple of times in L.A. back in the day, then had no contact with it or much thought about it for years.  When I came back around to it I was shocked to discover its history of being suppressed, cut down, etc., and it was a thrill just to get that UK bootleg DVD several years back.  The BFI release is a godsend.

Here is the dog and me.

Lisa, the lady who rescued him gave him a name that I am having a hard time pronouncing and remembering it. So I am calling him for the time being "Junior" because he reminds me of my first dog.

So far so good. He stays on a little bed that I bought him without asking and came into my bedroom to welcome the day and then HE took me for a walk.  ;D

:)

Nice pic of the two of you.

I am under the weather. I hope it isn't the flu, since my flu shot is scheduled for Wednesday morning, but it may just be a bad chapter of Me And My Allergies. I'm hoping.

I'm making a trip to the market and that's my day.

Have a relaxing day and feel better by tomorrow.

Since I'm feeling rather good today and finally NOT like I'm coming down with something....
we are going to get our flu shots.

At least not too much like I'm coming down with something.  Today I'm mostly sure it is only my allergies to stuff.

It's a beautiful day in Manhattan.

We were out and about early. We went to Penn Station to pick up our tickets for DC. We are having a small trip/honeymoon courtesy of a dear old friend. She didn't know what to do/what to get us for our wedding and she decided she should give us a trip to DC (she lives there). We are old friends (35 years) from college and after and this is a great present.

We leave Friday morning on the Acela Express Business Class and return Sunday evening. We are being housed at the

Mayflower Hotel

On Saturday evening we are being taken to dinner at

Bistro D'Oc

We're meeting Karen and Melinda, another friend who pairing with Karen to make the gift, for drinks at the Lounge in the hotel on Friday evening.

On Saturday during the day we may go to

President Lincoln's Cottage in DC

We will probably have brunch on Sunday somewhere in Dupont Circle and then play in the city until our train back early Sunday evening.

We are very excited about our trip and the gift from our very generous friends.

What a wonderful and thoughtful gift.  HAVE A FANTASTIC TIME!!!

The situation with Warner Brothers sitting on it is absolutely ridiculous, because we'll never see the most offensive sequence until they do. I'm not even sure the Rape of Christ is that offensive by today's standards, but curiosity alone over its suppression and Warner Brothers' attitude toward it makes me want to see it!

Wasn't that the TV series starring Patrick Warburton?

Great parody lyric, FJL. Still getting a kick out of "The Sex Is in the Heel," great energy.
