Yesterday evening was a delightful Kritzerland show, everyone just sparkling----looking like they were having great fun.   Jason Graae was hilarious!  Those of you not in LA must try to get here sometime to enjoy one of these shows.

I only have to buy pistachios and a DVD set of Midsomer Murders and then shopping is done.

I got my Samsung Android Tablet and I got it at Best Buy. I went to a different location. I didn't get last week's sale price but it was still on sale from the MSRP. I got the Tablet, a folio in which to carry it, a 64 gig micro SD card and because they had them on sale for $20, a 64 gig flash drive for Anthony. I came home and told him my office gave him a Christmas present, since I bought all this with a gift card from my 25th Anniversary at the Foundation Center.

I bought all that and I still have money left over on the card. Hooray. The tablet is charging right now. I will set it up later when it's fully charged.

We put up the tree yesterday and Anthony was putting the finishing touches on it while I went out to run errands before the big storm tomorrow and Wednesday. I still have to go out to the library later. I book I reserved has come in and I want to start reading it. I got, through a library inter-loan, the novel Grand Hotel by Vicki Baum. When I'm finished with Grand Hotel I will order Here's O'Hara, a collection of John O'Hara's short stories and the novella, Pal Joey.

Great DR BEN.....I love my tablet....even though it is a non-brand do-nothing.....very convenient for the few things I need to do away from the computer.

My sister decided she wanted to go to Aldi's this afternoon at 3 p.m. instead of this morning, so I will be part of the afternoon shopping brigade....I have not done this in many years.

I'm up, I'm up, again.  I guess I got about four hours of sleep.  It's SOP after a show - really not surprising anymore.

Ben: About 10 years ago, I stumbled into a used book store down at the coast and picked up five O'Hara novels for $1. I still haven't had time to read them, but I love his short stories, which I read years and years ago. Maybe I'll take one home with me for Christmas this year.

Facebook birthday stuff is insane.  I've been trying to keep up with "liking" all the wishes - daunting but I'm current as of ten minutes ago - that was over 250 "likes" - some wishes from interesting folks and it's sometimes even more interesting who doesn't send wishes :)

John O'Hara's stories are great....as DR JOHNG has said.  I even enjoyed the television series of several years ago that used his stories as their material....Gibbsville with John Savage and Gig Young.

TOD - My 25th birthday in 1975.  Worked all day, then went to the first rehearsal for YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, with DR Elmore as director.  After the introductions and all the formalities, he said, "Now, I want Ginny Ellis to come up here and sit by me."  It thought I was in real trouble, or being relieved of my Lucy role, when Snooky and Andrea emerged with a blazing cake and the the whole company was singing "Happy Birthday."  They presented me with this Snoopy, autographed by everyone.  I'd lived in Middletown a little over 2 years and it was the first time I felt a sense of belonging with real friends.
