Today is  my travel day back east.  Will be flying out of SFO tonight at 10:45.   I woke myself up at 4 a.m. worrying over the slightest things...things I could do nothing about until 8 a.m.

However, at 8 a.m., I checked in with Delta, printed out my boarding passes, signed up for mail hold with the USPS and then booked my shuttle for the trip to the airport.

All I need do now is pack.  Simple enough, I hope.   There are a few errands I want to accomplish like a visit to my bank to get specific bill denominations (I don't like wads of cash but I like a healthy wallet), a visit to Peet's for 2 lbs of French Roast and a trek to my optometrist to have my glasses adjusted.  I hate maladjusted glasses, don't you?

I shall be checking in as is my wont during my two weeks.  Should anything happen that would be worthy of sharing, I shall certainly post about it.  Nothing, of course, will ever be as unique as my visit several years ago where the most extraordinary things seemed to happen on a daily basis, including a luncheon at the church followed by a 2-1/2 hour one-man/one-boy show.  While it was rather average in performance, it was wholly unique in my experience.  I am glad that I saw it in my "down time" and can still think on it as a special event.

Well the notes are not by MR BK - so they are not as complete or informative, but they are okay. AND the music is amazing.

I did not own any version of this music on LP or CD, so it is a treat to have it!

Good morning, all!  I am very sleepy.  Last night the neighbor above me and her dog were very rambunctious after I  had turned out my lights.  There was way too much banging and bumping.  I think the dog has some heavy chew toy that it drops on the floor far too often.

So, i want to go back to bed.

I have the same problem with the woman and her son upstairs from me.  I think he must have a new chew toy that he kept droppinng all day yesterday!

That is a sweet cartoon DR TCB......one of my favorites, too.....but I don't think I've ever seen it in color.

The guy who wrote the notes for The Day the Earth Stood Still, who was the guy who put the CD together, really wanted to do them because he knew Mr. Wise.  They're not what I would have done, but it was nice to have a small break.

Things are humming along at Mom's, so I've come home for lunch.  Richard and I will go out soon to buy Mom a new twin bed that I hope can be delivered to the new place on Wednesday (moving day).
