In a few minutes, I am going with my sister to the hospital to sit while my brother has hernia surgery. It shouldn't be too long or too exciting.....I HOPE.

Last night I watched PAWN SACRIFICE with Tobey McGuire starring as Bobby Fischer.....I think MR BK has written about this movie.

It was okay.....McGuire sort of captured Fischer's craziness.....but after seeing the documentary - well there's no way he could reach those heights.

I didn't get to bed until midnight, so I got less than 8 hours of sleep. At 8:15 Annabelle jumped onto my bed to tell me she was hungry so I had to get up. I'll probably nap around 3:00 or so.

I think I’ve got BK’s irritants. My front door key broke off in the lock as I was leaving for work. I can’t get in the back. The locksmith I called hasn’t called me back.

I was supposed to have blood work done near work. I’ve had to cancel that. Now I’m trying at a place close to home. That means a wait of an hour or so.

Christmas Eve is the annual holiday hooch exchange with a French dinner before we get to the booze.
Christmas Day will bring dinner with friends. Lamb or beef will be on the menu. I’ve been instructed to bring wine and a dessert. I’m leaning toward cheeses since one doesn’t have a sweet tooth.
