Sometimes you need to just sit and get nothing done :)

Good advice for you, I do it too often & need to move more. :)

Lesson Three:  Red onion can give you killer heartburn.

Pepcid.

I've been taking them all day.

If you still have it at bedtime, don't like down flat.  If possible put something under your mattress to elevate it.

Sweet onions are good, or cooking them helps.

Those commercials with Mr Philbin trying to be coy and cutsie-poo are so horrid I will never go near that institution!

You can't overdo the red onion in the tuna pasta salad - and I also recommend drinking a lot of water before and after.

PAGE THREE 5TH AVENUE CANDIDE DANCE!!!

I have a friend in the cast and a friend conducting. Interestingly, it's the London National Theatre version they're performing, which I was supposed to orchestrate and was hired to do in January 1999. I'm sure Bruce Coughlin knows more about how he ended up with the job and I discovered the job was no longer mine when the person who hired me went on vacation and things happened behind my back. I can only guess.

SOUTH PACIFIC on PBS?  Hurray!  Bring it on!

Now if only the Met production of DOCTOR ATOMIC would get released on DVD.
It is on DVD. My library had a copy. Spectacular.

Shakespeare in the Park got rained out just as the ball scene was beginning. Our Romeo had just laid eyes on Juliet, and there was a flash of lightning. If that's not love at first sight, I don't know what is.

The promised hail storm hasn't hit yet -- thank goodness.

Was this with the Kennely Players?

My structural integrationist Rolf'd the heck out me today. My body is in a happier place than my mind is right now. I wish I could go to sleep but the lightning keeps flashing all about me. As I was driving home, I noticed plenty of neighborhoods in the dark. If that happens, my electric alarm clock will not go off and I won't get up at 4 a.m. like I need to.

BK, I was listening to "Unsung Musicals" today and I particularly love the recording of "Sherry!" My question is, how did you come in contact with the song that made you want to record it? Christine Baranski and Jonathan Freedman are "so alive" in that version, to quote one of the lyrics, that it makes me hit replay almost every time I heard it.

Find of the day: Original cast CD of "Lost in the Stars" for $3.98 and the store was having a 20-percent off sale. That I like.
