I had a lovely visit from my dear friend Jeff. He brought me five bags of clothes. He's a real clotheshorse and rarely keeps stuff more than one or two seasons. So, he packed up a lot of sweaters and pants and shirts and brought them over for me to look through and then donate the rest to Goodwill. Of course, the clothes of his I take I'll use to replace clothes of mine which will also go to Goodwill.

Jeff stayed long enough that I didn't have enough time left to watch the things I had planned to watch. So, first I finished THE BOURNE IDENTITY, enjoying it as much this time through as in other times. I also turned on the PiP commentary during selected scenes, and it's also very interesting.

Yes, indeed. He's taller, but I'm more physically fit so it kind of balances out.

Then, I put in a Blu-ray that I knew I could stop anywhere since it isn't a narrative: THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT II. I got to the Paris section before I turned it off for primetime TV.

And then I sat riveted by two back-to-back hours of '24.' Even though I saw the previews from last week and knew a certain character was going to be taken prisoner, I was still on the edge of my seat during her attempted escape and capture. Just wonderful.

The show got off to a slow start this season, but it has certainly upped its game during the past 6 weeks.

No UPS shipments came today, but if the Fox Blu-rays don't come tomorrow, I'll go ahead and work on VIVRE SA VIE on Blu-ray. It will be easy to do to rewatch the movie and then check for the resolution of the bonus features.

I'm going to finish up a few things in the office and then head downstairs to bed.

Good night!

My new Motorola Storm 2 came today.  It's the same phone I got a while back when my Blackberry curve died.  But back then it cost me a lot of $$ now I got it for $49 on my new every two plan on Verizon.  I'm glad I took the last one back and glad I got a new one.  It's fun.

Back online after an evening of severe thunderstorms.  I'm glad I went out and cut the daffodils before the storm hit - they look so pretty in a vase on the piano.

Rats!  I wanted Butler to win tonight.  Oh, well, they made Duke earn their national title.

I have two grantwriter meetings tomorrow, so - 'night!

Did anyone hear that Dumbo is going to be late?

Ok, I don't know why this Dumbo stuff cracks me up so much,....more coffee may help

I heard that Mrs. Dumbo was late......... which is where little Dumbo came from.

Um, in the movie Dumbo is brought by a stork.

Oh, that's just great, now you've gone and ruined the whole movie for me.

Good Evening!

I'm back from Philly!

-Of course, if you did not know that I had gone to Philadelphia today, then I probably should have posted a SPOILER ALERT, but since I am neither DR JMK nor a lesbian, I won't continue to beat this dead horse any further.

And as for Philly...

I ate at Dinic's.

I ate at Shank's.

I ate at Bassetts.

And I ate at Bobby's.

In any case...

I hope to be on the 9:30 bus to Philly, and it looks like it should be a beautiful day to walk around the City of Brotherly Love.

Jose, don't take that motto too much to heart today!

Well... I believe I logged about 8 miles on foot today.  So...

Good evening.

Don't have much to say.   Really rainy drive to work this morning.   Never felt the earthquake, I think I was just moving too much all day to have noticed, the neighbors did feel it.   They were napping.

Thanks for the welcome back.

But now I must say good night.  My new alarm goes off at 4 in the morning.   Glad that I am a morning person by nature, so the change is fairly easy.

Sweet dreams everyone.

Happy vibes.

Hugs and kisses.

And...

Now I'm watching "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations". It's a "technique" show.  It's good, but I do miss the usual travelogue aspect.
