Including the long lulls in between postings herein.
I wasn't lulling; I was eating dinner and drinking cherry juice.

Skip found some black cherry juice, which I hope will serve the same purpose.  It sure tastes good, anyway.

If it didn't taste good, you could always add ginger ale, 7UP, Sprite or even Coke.

DR td - I'm glad to hear that the banking situation is being resolved.  Sorry you've had to learn all those interesting things.

Good Evening!

Well, I decided to go ahead and head out for bit to run some errands and to indulge in some retail therapy.  The bank, the post office, Border's, Virgin, Whole Foods, etc.  And again, it was a lovely early Fall afternoon in the City.  :)

And now that I'm equipped with the new 2008 Zagat and Michelin guides, well...  It's been interesting comparing the evaluations.

td, great news regarding your account.  I'm impressed so much information was obtained regarding the thefts.  The items charged to our bank account were all done in Italy.

And the word of the day is: SPELUNKER!
Lee Collins finally caved in and let his son Floyd become a SPELUNKER.

Did anyone by chance record the Ann Miller movie THE THRILL OF BRAZIL off TCM last week?

We didn't.  I checked with my brother-in-law because if he had watched it, he likely would have made a DVD.  I'm sorry to report he didn't either.

Our culprit didn't make it out of the continental United States:  two attempted purchases from Colorado, one from California.

td - Good to hear that the bank is making progress.  And good to know that the fraudulent charges were charges and not cash withdrawals since those take a bit longer to get "corrected".

Our checking account was pretty much cleaned out.  If there had been more money in it they would have gotten more out of it.  I don't like ATM cards that can also be used as a credit card.  We only used our ATM card as a cash card at Costco so the thief likely worked there.  Before this happened I unaware you don't need a PIN to use the card to charge something.

Sorry about being E&T, but I've been flat on my back for the last few days.  Diarrhea is such a fun thing.   :P  When I wasn't on the can, I've been pooped out.

And der Brucer never mentioned this?  No wonder I didn't get any vibage.  Bad der Brucer, bad bad bad.

The good news is that I've had plenty of cuddleing from Fletcher, who has been with me fairly constantly from Sunday morning onwards.  He may be a troublemaker, but he gives good cuddle.

Der B has been keeping me up to date on what's been happening here.  Every time I've asked him, he's said "Oh, not much."   ::)

SWW-Belated vibes, or vibes you don't get this again.  Take it easy until you are completely recovered.

I was in the hospital once, feeling rather sorry for myself none of my friends called.  Seems they guys in my family neglected to tell anyone.  I'm sure DerBrucer would have mentioned, and asked for vibes, if you were in the hospital.

Bruce I really think you should do something special for your special birthday.  I know the book signings are special, but something where you can relax and have fun & not worry about anything.
