I finished watching Skyjacked, which is even more putrid than I remembered (I was at the premiere).  Mr. James Brolin gives one of the most inept performances in the history of film.

I'll bet if I go on the imdb right now, I'll find "It's not so bad" or "a 70s gem" or "unfairly criticized".  Let's just see...

Will we never get to page seven?

Well, sure.

Here they are:  "Enjoyable time capsule"  "A lot better than you might think"  "Gripping" "Well worth watching"

It never fails, does it?

Headed back down to clean the master bathroom and then back into the fray of Joan Collins et al. (Ah, it just dawned on me which character Sydney Chaplin plays in the movie!)

DR Edisauras - I didn't mention "Midnight Cowboy".  I love "Everybody's Talkin' " but think "I Guess The Lord Must Be In New York City" should have been used.

I really should check and see which original film scores I had on LP I bothered to replace with a CD. There would not be many.

I've still not tried that "linK'.  "Dances With Wolves" would have sold well.

Just got the BEST news - out of all the e-mail addresses in the country MINE has been chosen and I won 900,000 Euros.  I've sent them my complete information including my bank account number, and all my credit card numbers, and I guess I can expect those 900,000 Euros to be in my account any day now.

Just checked it! That's mostly the scores I was trying to avoid in my question!  Great and effective scores but, except for the musicals and collections of songs, does anyone play them?

Some scores were really just bought for a theme song or major theme. (Chariots Of Fire). I collected all the James Bond songs but I only own one Soundtrack LP of a Bond Film. (Live & Let Die).

The Bond comment  was a subtle DR Jose reference(Did you ever repost the mail as it didn't arrive in OZ?).

Two posts in an hour.  This has become extremely tiresome and extremely nauseating.  No way to welcome in July!

"A Man And A Woman" was a major seller here too.

And yes, by gum and by golly and buy bonds, let us welcome in July with open arms and closed knees.  And here's hoping for a happy, healthy, wealthy and superb July and rest of the year for that or any other matter.

Congratulations BK.  You can party with the likes of wealthy DRs such as Laura and JRand. (Truly the Chosen people of the new millenium)

Hummingbird.  A Frankie Laine reference from the mid 1950's.
(Also Les Paul & Mary Ford)

I'm watching another world's worst motion picture, entitled Hot Rods To Hell.  And yes, it has people raving about it on the imdb.

It's VERY hot here in the City of Studio, and even the home environment, which usually stays fairly cool, has heated up and I shall soon have to turn on the air conditioner for a few minutes.  I turn on the air conditioner by whispering sweet nothings in its ear and fondling its knobs.  Works every time.

DW Ann and I spent part of this lovely afternoon at the Taste of Tacoma, stuffing our gaping maws with delightful things such as lamb gyros, crabcakes with dirty rice, lumpia, and soft-serve in waffle cones.

Traffic and parking around the park where it's held is always ugly this weekend, but we cheated and made use of DR TCB's empty parking space and had an easy little stroll to the festivities.  Thanks, Dad!
