I watched SMALLVILLE next, a moving story that focused on Lois Lane for a change. I liked most of it very much (though the officer being controlled by scientists being able to come out of his "affliction" due to Lois' sincere pleas was a little much).

Just got back from my final... Brain is fried...

Got an A- on my paper though!

Mmmmm....fried brains! I think that's about the most cholesterol-laden food one could consume. (#2 would be the Egg McMuffin.)

Congrats on your A!  (A is A...where have I heard that....)

Next up was Tuesday night's LAW & ORDER: SVU, a gripping story of a man (guest star Dylan Walsh) leading a double life whose wife and three children were murdered. Pretty good episode with another opportunity for Christopher Meloni to pull out the stops.

MY NAME IS EARL had its fun season finale last night in an episode centering on Joy's trial. Earl also fell for her lawyer played by Marlee Matlin. Naturally, the episode ended with a cliffhanger of sorts.

No, Shirley Temple was not in the box-office top ten for ten years. She was there from 1934-39 with her four #1 years as 1935-38.

I'm sorry my post was confusing....my Shirley Temple reference was to the latter part of JRand's comment about Doris being number one four years in a row.  That is all.  And then I posted the link to support/clarify.

The Quigley, by the way, makes no comment about Day being the top box office female of all time.  It does, however, say that Barbra Streisand holds a record.

But my response wasn't in regard to your statement but to the follow-up question posed by DR JRand wondering if Shirley matched Doris' years in the top ten.

One thing Streisand never achieved was the #1 ranking. She got as high as #2, but she was never #1.

No, but we do have about 50 other versions of ONE song!
That many versioned song was used in the opening of  Spooks (MI 5) episode that we watched this week.

After swearing that he wasn't going to get wrapped up in the new series Traveler, guess what der Brucer recorded and is watching right now.

Here we go again.

Never pull anything out of attire, either.
It's already been done, hilariously, by Steve Martin.

Letters have been folded, envelopes have been addressed, stamped, and stuffed, and now I'm free until five, at which point I'll grab some dinner before I toddle off to see Tales of Tinseltown.

I have to admit I was leaning "against" it, myself.  But I thought I'd give it a few moments to catch my interest.

It did...and sustained it extremely well the entire hour.

Oh, boy!
