I am not in a good mood this morning. I slept very poorly, I'm very irritated over the recording project and what was essentially a useless conference call, and I really do not want to go out today. I have an appointment to have my eyes checked this morning, but I am going to reschedule it.

This is 10-year-old Amerie Jo Garza. This photo was taken yesterday morning, as she was awarded the Honor Roll, hours before she died. Her grandmother told reporters that Amerie "was shot and killed for trying to call 911, she died a hero trying to get help for her and her fellow classmates." Amerie was “super-outgoing” and a “teacher’s pet” who liked doing well in school, added her grandmother. Rest in Peace, young Amerie
