Listening to music - the rather astoundingly interesting symphonies of Rued Langaard - read about him - fascinating stuff. One of his pieces, Music of the Spheres, is utterly amazing if you know when it was written. The avant-garde Ligetti said when he saw the score that he had no idea he'd been imitating Langaard's music (he'd never seen nor heard the piece before). The guy had crazy ideas at a time when NO ONE had them. His symphonies start out very conventionally, rather Mahleresque, but that quickly changes and then all bets are off. A couple of his symphonies last six minutes.
