Thank you for talking me through that, George. And thanks Der B for also offering photobucket help.

It's been very cold here in GA the past week; almost freezing at night. My lettuces look limp, and you know, there's nothing worse than that!

The kitties have spent a lot of time snuggling to keep warm:

And do those graspy hands reach out for colored objects yet?

DR Edi, the kitty photo is sweet.  The bedding they are on looks warm & cozy.

They're on my couch, covered with one of their blankies. Elmo, the cowcat loves very soft things so I bought it with him in mind. He's a very tactile kitty.

Wild and Crazy Librarians Stage Bibliophile's "Project Runway"
Well! We've certainly learned our lesson for skipping the Illinois Library Association's Annual Conference!

What did we miss? Only the first ever "Style from the Stacks" fashion show, featuring designs inspired by and made from "library stuff" (all created and modeled by the librarians).

Victoria, the "party librarian" of Cicero Public Library, wears a dress made of catalog cards.

Anne of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library models a wedding dress made of romance novels.

Beverly of the Rolling Prairie Library System sports a day dress made of library posters.

Back from a jaunt to the post office to mail packages to DRs JRand and Elmore, and a stop for lunch at India Star and next door to look at the Bollywood DVDs and CDs. Only bought a few. And then chatted with the owner and a couple of Indian customers about how surpised they were that I liked Indian movies.

The owner told them that I have more movies then he does in his whole store.

Maybe you can earn a little extra money renting your movies out.

Today we celebrated a 90th birthday. How nice to have friends and family all come to celebrate and tell stories while the guest of honor is alive to hear how much she is loved.

I just "rescued" a few plants from a homesite that is going to be demolished in the next day or two.

I wonder if there is a plant equivalent of a game warden?

My favorite Halloween memory is 16 years ago, when my DH (who wasn't even my DBF, yet I always secretly hoped that one day he would be) went to a party at my workplace, hoping I would be there. I was there with a friend who had moved in with me that day after his girlfriend kicked him out. I told my DH that Stephen had moved in and then jokingly asked "When are YOU moving in with me?" He looked me straight in the eye and said "I have my suitcase packed and it's in the car".  I laughed, but it turned out that he was serious. Both of them came home to Marietta that night but Stephen stayed in the guest room.

The rest is history.
