Good morning, all! 5:30 came way too early to make me happy, but I am bathed and dressed and ready for my second cup of coffee. I need t be put of here early to get the newly copied opening sequence from the show copied, collated, and ready for rehearsal. Deb Lyons has asked me for a copy of the closer, "Christmas Time's A-Comin," in its performance key of D, not the lead sheet I prepared in F, so I'd like to copy that this morning as well. I need everything ready by 10AM, so I'm shortly off to work.

You mean life ain't like the movies where you just tell the orchestra, "You Are My Lucky Star" in D and they play it?

I wish!

It's been one long day, and I'm ready for a nap. The morning was spent blocking and running the first half of the show. During the lunch break, we had a production meeting on concerns, questions, and things we needed to address. After lunch we worked on the band, how they get to their instruments,  the logistics of who plays what, and where and when. After that, we ran the music for the opening, the Cherry Tree Carol, The New Year Carol, and a couple of others. Then, DJ arrived with a new song to be added before Mary Joy Linn gives birth.

For the first time I am first in the library queue for a book which will be released on the 8th.  When my library will have it I don't know.

I saw the new listing at Goodreads for THE BOY IN THE SUITCASE....http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10776592-the-boy-in-the-suitcase

Oh, Lord, the BLUE VELVET fanatics are pestering me about not giving the film 5 out of 5 stars.  When did 4/5 become a bad score?

My friend, George Dickerson, is in that film.  He plays the cop.

Yes, he is home with me. Still sleeping. He usually works nights, so daytime is his usual sleep time. He will probably wake up in the middle of the night.

There was a George Dickerson in the Miami University Music Dept in the early 1970s. He preferred to be called Greta.

I tried to find just the video of this murmuration (starlings) over the River Shannon in Ireland, but I could only find it connection to the Huffington Post.  Still, it is incredible to watch.

When Bryan had his teeth pulled Craig kindly fetched for him all day.  Craig was exhausted from running up & down the stairs so many times-glad I didn't have to do it.

When Craig had his pulled (I had insisted he do it over a school break instead of in San Francisco)he got sick during the night & was glad I had put the phone next to him so he could call us.  I'm sure he had a reaction to the pain meds.

DR TCB I read your post on FB.  Maybe it is time to let your friend's know just what help you need.  What happened to the fundraiser from your theater friends?

Keith saw a recipe for FRUITCAKE-INSPIRED BROWNIES he thinks would be good.  I might attempt it as my book group is meeting here on Tuesday morning.  I'm not so sure though, any opinions?

I read your post, Jane.  Thank you.  I also wondered what happened to the fundraiser.  I asked my friend and she said that basically she figured that the need (back in August) was so immediate that she squelched the idea, because they wouldn't have been able to put it together until November.

I said, "Well it is November now."  She said that it was too late to do it now.  Thank you very much.
