Back from a nice and easy meet with Susan Egan, and we're totally on the same page about her CD and that should all proceed smoothly - Vinnie will start on it this weekend. It will also have my first hidden track since I went back to producing CDs - and it will be a very funny one.

I began my afternoon viewing with another revisiting of a CLOSER episode. This is the one with the woman shot in the head and discovered by the mailman. Good mystery, and the scenes with Ray Wise as the attorney helping Brenda were just priceless.

Next, I watched Martin & Lewis' last film HOLLYWOOD OR BUST. It's only an average entertainment though I did like the songs composed for the film.

The transfer is VERY erratic. Lots of misregistration of the Technicolor, some scenes are very soft, and yet there are stretches of it that look sharp and beautiful, but the transfer is so inconsistent that it's aggravating to watch. (And, of course, Jerry seems so out of control at this point that he goes beyond aggravation. He must have been a nightmare to try to direct back then.)

Of course, the Daytime Emmys are tonight, and I'm sure I'll be watching even though I don't watch any daytime TV to speak of. But I'll be curious to see the THE VIEW ladies win as Best Talk Show or as Best Host(s) over Ellen Degeneres and the other competition.
