I would...I love roses.

I'm particularly fond of the large-blossomed "Mr. Lincoln"!

Are you still talking roses?

DEATH BY CHOCOLATE is the play, DRVIXMOM.

Thanks for the SOM suggestions, DR DtM - if it was my production, I would do JUST that!

Thanks for cast album info, DRJOSE.  And take that small sign that says HHW to the Tony awards show....and flash!

Beautiful roses, DR RLP....I like them in a vase....not in the rough.  Too many bees!

When I moved into my house  I ripped out all of the roses and gave them to my neighbor...they look much better in their yard.

I love roses but mine always ended up sort of cruddy looking.

I enjoyed my 4 day weekend so much that I wish it could have continued...but alas, I am here at work.

JRAnd55, I watched the John Saxon/Robert Redford film WAR HUNT (1962) last night...it was good, but it was quite disturbing...John Saxon rather scared me...and that is NOT the reaction I usually have towards him.

If I had my druthers, I'd druther have a Mary Ann Mobley/Gary Lockwood swim/dance...but Saxon will do in a pinch.

A SUMMER PLACE was the flip side of Miss Joanie's BIG MONSTER hit "Johnny Get Angry"....first time I ever heard the lyrics...and I love the song and her version of it.

Didn't know TELSTAR had lyrics....but since I played the organ, I was quite popular when it was number one.  They no longer laughed when I sat down.

I watched a grunch of movies on DVD over the past four days....but oddly enough, the ones I remember are "Good Night and Good Luck," "Minority Report" , "Compulsion" and "Seems LIke Old Times."  I'm certain there were a couple more...but....gone right out of my memory.

Topic of the Day:  one of the absolute best high school theatrical experiences was about 15 years ago and my former high school put on a production of "Quilters."  The six girls were the best actresses that I'd seen in any high school show and one even went on to become a professional actress!  It was just wonderful.

SWW & DErBrucer, I’m sorry Angie’s new family weren’t worthy of her. I hope she will find the perfect home soon.  I should say the perfect home aside from yours.

Terrific movie wallows, each of them.

"Leave Her to Heaven" is especially powerful subject matter and beautifully filmed in stunning color.

"The Razor's Edge"...should have been a masterpiece, but Power just can't quite invest Larry Darrell with enough juice to pull it off.  Everyone else is superb, IMO, and it features one of the great film scores ever!

It's beautiful outside of my window.  Every year at this time I ask myself. "WHY didn't I become a teacher?!"

I want to take  the summer off.

As Lamarr Trotti said about Tyrone during A RAZOR'S EDGE...."Well he came back from the war and got all philosophical and spiritual, but then someone introduced him to Lana Turner and that was the end of THAT!"

I am back from a lovely afternoon with DR Jose.  He met me at Target where we shopped for summer clothing and other assorted goodies.

Shopping quandry for the day:  Why is it that all women's shorts come in either "hoochie" or "mom" styles- can there be no happy medium??
