DR George - When I've found myself in a blank VHS tape pinch, I've found that CVS, Eckerd, 7-11, etc., has tapes.  So, if you're not particular about a certain brand...  But with a Costco only 2 miles away... Does your Costco stay open past 6:00 on Sunday nights?

I guess we'll find out...

I have to say I'm really excited as the show is just getting ready to start. I'll pop back on between each commercial break. That means I'll be on every five minutes!  :D

Priscilla Lopez singing Sweeney Todd!!!  THAT would have been a casting coup, all right!!!  Always did think she has more talent than casting directors know what to do with!!!

She played the lead in a TV-movie I wrote (FOR THE LOVE OF MY CHILD) and she was quite wonderful. (Sorry for the cheesy title.) There are many stage actors who are far too big on screen. She wasn't. She was very real, very simple and touching. And "simple" is hard.

This part is cute--and funny--Officer Lockstock and Little Sally from Urinetown are explaining the procedures for the nominees and winners.  I'm glad I left the SnagIt recorder on.

The set looks like the same one from last year, which looked like the Gypsy revival set.  It works, though.  The show won't get lost on that huge stage (at least not on TV.)

Can't wait.  Only three more hours here.

I'll join those who don't think the Music Hall is a good venue.  I loved them when they were in a real theater.  But they love having it in a place where they can allow in all the groupies and screamers, as if we can't tell that's what's going on.

Nice opening number but a little too crowded a stage to get the full impact, and I'll bet it wasn't clear to many that the nominated shows were being represented on the stage.

Hugh Jackman is the real deal.

Sean Combs has NO BUSINESS being on a stage. Managed to mispronounce three of the five nominated actors' names.

Weird little moment with Kristin Chenoweth. Didn't really understand why she was there. I thought it was leading into the WICKED number, but, no, she was just flirting with Hugh Jackman.

FIDDLER excerpt: ho-hum. Always tuneful and powerful, but been there-done that. "Tradition" and "Bottle Dance."

Best thing about the FIDDLER number was the steadicam track of Molina from outside Radio City down the aisle and up onto the stage. He did exhibit great poise in talking quickly and moving a LONG distance to get up on that stage.

Danise, here's the link for techsmith.com.  Look for SnagIt on the home page.  It really is the best image-capture utility i ever used.

Almost forgot my BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE HUNGARIAN! of the day...
And now our Hungie of the day. Because it's Tony day...[DRUM ROLL]
ADOLPH GREEN  - Green was born in the Bronx to Hungarian immigrants Daniel and Helen Weiss Green.
(And I can attest to the fact that he actually spoke Hungarian because I once had a lovely conversation with him in just that language.)

It's nice to see someone who was Jewish and in the entertainment industry who didn't change his last name.

 ;)
