Liked the FIDDLER number....opening notes unexpected and impressive.  Moreso than that Poetry &$%# last year that tried sort of the same location thing.

I have to admit it is more fun for me this time having seen some of the shows while on my trip but I'm tiring out.

I'm sure I'll read all about the rest of it tomorrow.    5:30 AM comes early.  'Night all.

Well, if they used "Conga" then they wouldn't have been able to feature the whole cast - well, everyone except for the supporting leads.

Strong voices in ASSASSINS - "Everybody's Got the Right" reprise. I am REALLY looking forward to seeing this show in July.

Those next awards offered no surprises.

Oy!  Maybe it's a good thing that the Tony TV audience is small.  Can you imagine the complaints about the Assassins number with Reagan's death this weekend?

If you are going to wear a strapless dress, and you want it to be tight enough so it doesn't fall down....don't let it be so tight that your boobs pooch out at the sides.  Just a thought.

At least they didn't feature "Unworthy of Your Love." :o

Yep, AVENUE Q is cute as a button, funny, sweet, fun. ENjoyed seeing "It Sux to Be Me." This is another show I'll get to see in the flesh (felt?) in July.

That number takes place right after she's been thrown out of the Dreamettes.

Ohhhhhhhhhh....that explains it DTM....gotcha.  Thanks....I can see how it would inspire that number....and maybe even that dress.

JHC!  Is there any singing in WICKED or is it all that yellin' crap?

One hour to LA Tony Time.  Loving your comments, keep 'em coming.

I will say that the season finale of The Sopranos, after all the ridiculous grandstanding by HBO, was disappointing.  Had they not tried to sell it as the second coming (I am entirely sick of the HBO over-dramatic coming attractions - really, they need to be stopped), then it would have been just another episode and fine.  Nowhere near the power of previous season finales.

More proof that Hugh Jackman ought to be the biggest star in the world. A show stopping moment despite a nothing song to sing. But what a performance!

well, I have to wonder if they would have given that much time to "I Am Not The Boy Next Door" from  THE BOY FROM OZ if Hugh Jackman wasn't hosting...  But I did enjoy the number... And Hugh's hips!  :)

I could look at Hugh Jackman just standing there. He looked scruffy and unkempt last year since he was shooting VAN HELSING. This year, he's completely edible.

Was that WONDERFUL TOWN number supposed to show off Donna Murphy?  I would rather hear lyrics and see a number than what I just heard and saw.  Wouldn't convince me to buy a ticket...in fact, might do the opposite.

You want to know what I don't like?

...

Okay, I'll tell you anyway.  I don't like it when winners mention all the other nominees in their acceptance speech.  I guess that they feel it's being gracious, but to me it just comes off as disingenuous.
