Apparently the latest incarnation of Sondheim's Road Show will be recorded next month.

This is the song that will not end...

Good morning!

Beautiful morning and not nearly as cold as the last few days - in the 30s which almost seems like a heat wave compared to the weekend.

Even though I'm only interested in '24' tonight, I still have plenty of stuff recorded last week and last night to watch: SMALLVILLE, MONK, THE MENTALIST, THE STARTER WIFE.

This is the song that will not end...

Good morning, all! I slept late, only to be awakened by my doorbell: it was the UPS man at 9:00 delivering my new cedar trunk, which is quite lovely and now filled with the various projects I was moving from pillar to post daily. I do believe this will help my organization in the apartment.

I've heard no more about this idiotic pops symphony chart I had to pull together all weekend, so I hope it is now finished and done with. Today's schedule is more edits on BABES. When I need a break, I'll take out the chart I'madjusting for Brent Barrett and work a bit on it.

TOD:
Original cast recordings of ALL FOR LOVE, THURBER CARNIVAL, ANYA, HALF PAST WEDNESDAY
Original London cast recordings of CAMELOT, CARNIVAL, PROMISES PROMISES, 1776, THE BOY FRIEND (Cheryl Kennedy/Yvonne Arnaud Theatre production), OH WHAT A LOVELY WAR!, MAN OF LA MANCHA, COWARDY CUSTARD
London studio cast recordings of BLESS THE BRIDE (Mary Millar), THE BEGGAR'S OPERA Austin version released in USA on Argo), ROSE-MARIE (Julie Andrews)
FOLK: CHRISTMAS WITH THE BEERS FAMILY

I'll be continuing to work on the 13 episodes of CHEERS that I have left, but I'm not going to sweat it since (a) they're not due out until the 27th and (b) the next item in my queue is FRIDAY THE 13TH, not a film I'm all that eager to revisit.

TOD:

I've mentiond this every time we do this topic: STARS OF THE SILVER SCREEN 1929-1930 which contains studio recordings of some big stars' talkie film debuts (Fannie Brice, George Jessel, Everett Marshall, John Boles. Maurice Chavelier, Jeanette MacDonald, Gloria Swanson).

The London cast recording of HELLO, DOLLY! with Mary Martin.

B'way: A TIME FOR SINGING, THE THREEPENNY OPERA (1976).

Since today is MLK Day (no mail delivery - BOO!! HISS!!), no lunch out today with best friend John. We're tentatively on for tomorrow though the weather forecast says we might get snow tomorrow (2 to 4 inches).

And next: breakfast, more meetings, a drive to the airport, and a flight home.

Isn't that a fun way to spend a three-day weekend??

DR Panni's Chooster was a chicken.  Did he/she ever post?

I'm still checking on return trips to NYC.  Right now, the best time to travel is Tuesday morning.  However, it looks like I'll be returning late Wednesday night.

And as for me heading up to DC tomorrow, well...

WASHINGTON, D.C. - On a normal day, the D.C. metro system purrs along at a rapid pace, but come Jan. 20, life will be much different.

"We will carry as many people as we can, but we are not going to be able to carry everybody," said Metro public affairs specialist Steven Taubenkibel.

Officials offer tips for using D.C. Metro system
