On tv tonight for me:

CW: Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill.

MTV: The City, The City Aftershow.

I watch Samantha Who. But I don't believe it's on tonight (even though it's marked in my tv guide). It's not on my tv's schedule. And when i check on abc.com i guess they decided to have the Bachelor be 2 hours.

If that story happens to sound familiar to any other DRs, it could be because DR (sing)DAW posted it back on April 9, 2007.

And yet I can't even remember what I ate for breakfast this very morning...       :)

I am enjoying reading everyone's responses to the TOD......

Yes, DRFJL that was me.

Do any of the NYC HHW'ers know anyone working on the production of Edmund White's TERRE HAUTE?  Now that it has a NYC production, they might consider releasing it to the Phoenix here in Indy....an Equity Theater.....I would certainly like to play the part of James....

Anyway....

And speaking of PETA: Has anyone had any good "sea kittens" lately?

::)

I'm sure a good gourmand like yourself would tell us where to find the best ones.  :-)

And wasn't that (April 2007) way before the Roundabout Pal Joey revival was even scheduled?  Cutting edge, that's what HHW is!

I don't believe I posted that link/video before, but that was one of my favorite episodes of the season.  *And the final "Prop 8" skit of the night was very funny and touching.

*I think NBC did not - and was not able to - post it to their own website since they would have had to secure a mu$ic clearance.

**And it's amazing the number of "Single Ladies Dance" video variations that are out there on the interwebs.

I'm awake, I'm awake!  Finally a day to sleep past 6:30am, and finally a day to catch up here at HHW.  Today I shall not leave the house!  Well, that's the plan, anyway, we'll see.  I have to get started on some orchestrations for Anything Goes - speaking of said show, Tams-Whitmark sent the WRONG orchestrations for our show, which I had a dream that they would, so we're hoping the exchange doesn't take weeks as I have some transpositions and cuts and pastes to do with the existing orchestration.  This really seems like a lot of work for a middle school show...

I often confuse "Your-mama looks sharp" with that hip-hop song that won the Oscar a few years back

It has been incredibly windy here.  Zach and I have written this little ditty, to the tune of Sleigh Ride:

Just hear those wind chimes jingling, ring ting tingling too
Come on it’s lousy weather for a windstorm together with you
Outside the trees are falling and friends are calling OH MY GOD
Come on it’s lousy weather for a windstorm together with you

Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up let’s go
That tree’s gonna blow
It’s wobbling more than to and fro
It’s too late, it’s too late, it’s too late, we’re dead
It fell on our head
If only we’d stayed safe and warm in our comfy and cozy bed

Our cheeks are scratched and bloody
Our pants are muddy, so “Nu?”
Come on it’s lousy weather for a windstorm together with you
Please call an amb’lance for us and sing a chorus “Boo Hoo”
Come on it’s lousy weather for a windstorm together with you

They’ll be sitting shiva at the house of Doctor Stein
And our kids will divvy up what’s yours from what is mine
It’s too bad that we died intestate but we all were feeling fine
That just goes to show what occurs when the sun decides not to shine

I ordered the Spinetti bio, DR ELMORE....  But you know, and this is not on the book jacket as far as I know, I am getting a bit weary of people saying the were "the fifth Beatle"......

There were only four when they hit it big.  Everyone else was a hanger-on.  If anyone could have the title it would be Epstein....or out of the group Mr Murray the K.

Actually, when you read the bio, you'll be more sympathetic to the "fifth Beatle" comment. He and John Lennon in particular have a long working relationship through the National Theatre of Great Britain and he  was requested to be in all their movies. It's a wonderful bio. I think you'll laugh your way through it, and some of it's quite moving.

More albums:
The Warner Brothers stars WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS from the 1950s
   Dorothy Provine's recordings
The Kapp Off-Broadway cast  MAN WITH A LOAD OF MISCHIEF
The Martha Schlamme-Alvin Epstein recordings of Kurt Weill
   Felicia Sanders' Kurt Weil album
The NYC Ballet orchestra recordings of NUTCRACKER, WESTERN SYMPHONY and STARS AND STRIPES
The Mercury recording of the SLEEPING BEAUTY ballet with the Minneapolis Symphony conducted by Antal Dorati
William Walton's FACADE read by Hermione Gingold and Russell Oberlin

RE: the MENTALIST.

I recorded it at 10pm on the canadian station.

But i was watching the football game and saw it ended at around 10:30pm.
Interesting game. My brother-in-law is a huge Steeler's fan and was gonna cancel his SuperBowl party if they did not win!

Btw, the MENTALIST was a good episode.

But since i was watching football and reading i did not get to see any of the other shows that were on last night.
