There was this barely audible, but incredibly irritating, buzzing noise in my office this morning.

What did THE VOICES tell you to do about it?           ;)

They kept repeating "Call maintenance!"

(The voices in my head are generally levelheaded and sensible.  It's unfortunate that I rarely listen to them.)

Vibes to Cillaliz's brother. Maybe it's kidney stones? That can double you over, too (as I witnessed recently!)

Istanbul was Constantinople,
Now it's istanbul, not Constantinople,
Been a long time gone, Constantinople,
Now it's turkish delight on a moonlit night...

Thursday morning greetings!  Sun's out today and I have a couple of fun things planned.  At noontime, DH Richard and I will drop on the Kiwanis Club to hear a local couple talk about their European hiking adventures.  Then, late this afternoon my mom and I are going to see LAST CHANCE HARVEY and out to dinner at Bravo.

TOD - London & Paris and environs.  I just bought Rick Steves' Europe through the Back Door, because Richard and I want to plan a European trip for 2011, the year of our 30th wedding anniversary.  I have a very steep learning curve to climb.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up...  And what about those Oscar Nomination!?!?!?

*A few surprises, but at least one of them - for me - was a very pleasant one: Richard Jenkins for Leading Actor in "The Visitor".  Oh, and Michael Shannon for Supporting Actor in "Revolutionary Road".
