Good morning, elmore! I have no idea why I am up, except that Angel had a little accident in the den this morning that needed cleaning and scrubbing.
I know you did - but did you unplug your receiver? Or is that what you meant by resetting it?Thank you, JRand for the vibes.
Also....did you take your "card" out of the receiver and then put it back in?
DR Danise - ~~~~COMFORT, PEACE AND REST VIBES~~~~
Yes, DR Jose! How's your cousin?
Danise, I'm so sorry about your dear dog. Sorry for Bear's loss of a best buddy, too. It's a good thing you let him see you bury her. They do know. Please just rest a bit, okay? At least until the pain and swelling go away. Take a day off. Take a nap. You don't really have to do satellite dish errands, do you?
And, hey! I forgot to mention two days ago that I was asked to write the feature article for the next BMI Lehman Engel Music Theater Writers' Workshop newsletter!! The editor wanted something about grant writing, especially creating a budget, since the season of submissions is nigh. So I wrote about how to figure out how much a small Fringe-type production or workshop would cost, gave examples of actual budgets, and talked about the how-to of grant writing and basic fundraising - all in about 12,500 words. I sent it in within 2 days. (well, that was easy, since I just plagiarized my own workbook on making a living from your art...) Anyhow, that was an absorbing task, and very enjoyable to write!
Aww, Danise. I'm so sorry to hear about Brandi. What a wonderful home you were for her -- willing to just let her be what she was. She had a good life because of you.Thank you DearReaderLaura. I take comfort in the thought that someone else would not have put up with the stomach problems she had and either gotten rid of her or had her put down a long time ago.
Just take care of yourself. And vibes to your mom, too.
Anyone know off the top of yer head which number was the BIG Judy Kaye song from On The Twentieth Century, which Fearless Leader alluded to in his column this mawnin'?
DR PennyO - Please say HI to DR Jane for me and tell her she is missed here at HHW!
Also, next month I'm doing a workshop for our local arts consortium called "Grantseeking Basics for Individuals in the Arts." It's based on material from the Foundation Center, but I'd love to know more about your workbook and the article you just wrote.
Jose - thanks for the info! I'm gonna run out and try to find a copy. I NEED a big song for auditions, and Judy's voice is not terribly unlike mine...
First post, and this is what I have to say:Hooray!!!
It's RAINING!!!!!
Woo hoo! My federal tax return was just deposited to my account! I now have enough money in savings to cover my living expenses through the end of August- I can't imagine that I wouldn't have found a satisfactory job by then.

Poor Bear. I thought it best to let him see her before I buried her so he would know she had passed and wasn't just "missing". I don't know if dogs understand such things but that seemed the right thing to do.
Vibes to DR Jose's cousin and to VixMom for her back!

Speaking of backs--we're hanging on till Monday morning so I can get Mom to the doctor regarding her back. She's been in such pain she can't get out of bed this past week. Even sitting up hurts her.
I honestly think they may have to put her in the hospital this time.
I'm just full of good news, aren't I? :-\
I went to the door to call her for hers and she didn’t come. I went to look for her and found that to my horror, she had died sometime in the night in her doghouse.
OH! And the weather outside is glorious! I guess the East and West Coasts traded seasonable weather conditions this weekend.
*And I hope DR Ron Pulliam and his friends out in San Francisco are safe and out of harm's way this morning. I heard reports about a couple of major traffic accidents due to the snow and ice this morning.
...Yesterday I gave Bear his usual morning thyroid pill in one of those little sausages. I always hide it in one half so both he and Brandi were treated equal—she always got the other half. ...DR Danise - Thank-you for giving Brandi the loving home she needed. You made her world a much better place.
At least it wasn't me this time.
Well, pussy problems are certainly something you and DR MBarnum have in common. It is good to see you up and about this early.
I could leave the satellie dish alone until tomorrow and I think that I will.
Gee, I wish it was a year ago. It was only about a week from now we were all in NY. :)
Oh, and I have to tell you all about the weird dream I had last night. You'll never guess who came to visit me.....................Of all people, John Denver!
I do like his music but I was never a big fan so it's odd that I would dream of him.
Anyone know off the top of yer head which number was the BIG Judy Kaye song from On The Twentieth Century, which Fearless Leader alluded to in his column this mawnin'?
Our bird walk was rained out today. Good news, actually.
And on that note, I am going to mop the floor.
It is still raining.
But, before I go, Mr. Moore, I am available for meeting on Palm Sunday, April 9th. I don't know about Anthony. It's a bit early for him.
10am may also be a bit early for actual brunch in the theatre district but there are plenty of diners around, especially on Ninth Avenue where we can meet and eat. We have the Theatre Row Diner on Dyre Avenue and 42nd Street across from Manhattan Plaza. We have the Westway Diner on 9th Avenue between 43rd and 44th, and we have the Galaxy on 9th Avenue and 46th. Festen is at the Music Box on 45th between Broadway and 8th Avenue so they are all within walking distance.
Where in tarnation is everryone???????

Oh! Well, at least, I steal from the best.
I watched the movie Mambo Italian this evening with several friends. It is a luagh out film. With the exception of Paul Sorvino it was cast with all Montreal actors. Several who I worked with and one that I went to school with.
If you haven't seen it I recommend it.
I'm here. I've been E & T lately, I had the longest week....did a lot of work getting the old house ready to sell. Unfortunately we uncovered a place that has had termites at some point. So I have to have it treated and repaired before I can sell the place. But everything is out of there and it's clean as a whistle
I also made a trip to Home Depot today...(I told you this is getting out of hand) Among other things I got a new mailbox. It's huge and I have a place to put it where it won't look funny. The mail carrier said it was ok there. The one I have barely holds a magazine, let alone package. That just will not do. The new one will hold packages and keep them out of the elements
Priscilla and Me, that's the title of my new novel.
I rode the bike for 80 minutes. I've showered and I am now surfing, albeit on line and not in the water (I've never surfed before in my life).
That is all from Chelsea.
I'm having a frenzy, DR Laura...glad to hear you're finally getting rain.
Cilla, they should have found the termites in the inspection before you bought the house.
We had snow last night....
Nice today!
I found out the neighbors next door are selling their house as soon as their new house is finished. So if anyone wants to move to Sioux City and be my next door neighbor.......
Don't everyone volunteer at once....that would be unseemly
James Taylor is coming to Sioux City. My brother and I did the two people trying to get tickets from ticketmaster at the same time and buying whoever gets the best seats. It's a good thing we did. The Orpheum holds 2500 people....it sold out in 12 minutes!!!!!
AHHH I'm on another frenzy
When I scroll down or up, and vice versa, this page, I see so many Cillalizes smiling at me that I do get the feelin that I AM on something!
Must be something wonderful to have such visions ;D
I had coleslaw last night...
Rice today! ???

Hummmm... I'm scared of termites, which rhymes with dynamite! ;)
and sometimes you need to use dynamite to get rid of them...
Speaking of infectious - What work does the line "My infection for you grows with each passing hour" (or something like that) come from?
This is not a trivia contest, I'm just wondering where that line comes from.
Are we on page 7 yet?
And also get rid of the house in the process!! :D
Now I get that wolf looking at me! Good I'm not wearing a red hood!

I just found out (from my niece) that my sister has decided to sell the house that I'm renting from her. I was planning on buying something like a condo anyway, but I was being quite wishy-washy about when I would actually start the process. Now that my sister has made her decision, it's all a matter of how soon. I know that we (my sister and I and any and all other family members) will have to get this house all cleaned up and sellable, so that's going to be what'll be happening soon. Probably sooner than I would have purchased my own place. I'm quite the procrastinator...as several of you know, I'm sure. ;)
Looks like it's a few days alone as I just dropped off the DP at the airport for his trip to visit his family in Pennsylvania. He hasn't been back in 4 years or so. It's going to be weird without him around.
Good house hunting vibes to George!!
Thanks! I'm sure it'll take a while to get my house (and yard :P) in order, and then I have to find a place to move to. I'll probably get an apartment first, just to be able to move out of the house, then my sister said that she'd give me some money from the sale of this house as a downpayment on something that I could buy, since I just paid off my credit cards and I have no savings. Our parents gave my sister the lot where she built her house, and this is her way of "paying it forward." :)
I know that it's only just after 10:00 p.m., but I'm going to hit the hay (and actually go to sleep). In the morning (at 8:00 a.m., to be precise), I have to be at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts (http://www.washingtoncenter.org/)[/url] in downtown Olympia, to help with the load-in of a tour of The Acting Company's (http://www.theactingcompany.org/) "The Three Musketeers (http://www.theactingcompany.org/season/threemusketeers.html)." I work backstage a few times a year...it's always nice to have a little extra spending money. I'll help with the load-in, be backstage during the show itself, and help load out the stuff. I'll work with the wardrobe person and I usually get to interact with some of the performers. I rarely ever get to see any of the show, but it's still a lot of fun. Anyway, it ends up being a very, very, very (that's three verys) long day with only a couple of hours for a break in the middle of it all. Fun, but long. :D
