Speaking of the Unseemly Trivia Contest, am I the only one who did research in the career of Clara Peller to see if she ever did a B'way musical?

Was she the "Where's the Beef" lady?

BK, re: the Days of Our Lives fans buying the Kevin Spirtas dvd.

I'm not sure how long he was on the show. But i wouldn't necessarily expect the fans to go as crazy as they did for Matt's show dvd.  Matt has been on Days on and off for probably 20 years and is a huge soap star.

"Introducing" -

hmmmmm.....Joanne Woodward was very tiresome when she was introduced in "Count Three and Pray" - but it was a showy role for her.

I did, too.  And the "That's a spicey meatball" guy.  I was stuck in an Alka-Seltzer mode.

I looked up the Alka Selzer ones too.

Tuesday morning greetings! My day started an hour earlier than usual, with a meeting at United Way, so I, too, get to go home early.  My big event this afternoon is training on our new phone system - I now have 2 phones on my desk, but don't know the first thing about how to use the new one.

If it makes a noise, pick it up and say "Hello."  ;D

I am sitting here like so much fish waiting for a call from the air conditioner man to see if they have one for me in stock that they can install today. If so, I work at home, if not, I may as well head out to the office....I am REALLY hoping they do. It's supposed to be 100 degrees here by Thursday.  Today is overcast and is only supposed to be in the 80s so it's not bad - humid, but not too hot in here

Oy, if it were only that easy, DR JRand!

I am thinking that John Saxon get's "introduced" in Universal-International's film THE UNGUARDED MOMENT (is that correct JRand55?)....and of course June Kenney's introduction in TEENAGE DOLL!!

Well, the AC man says he'll be here "after I get the unit loaded up" which doesn't say a whole lot. But he promised it would be installed today, so I will gladly wait around the house. I have a lot of writing to do for work, so I can do that here...actually, once I get started it's a lot easier to do it here - fewer unwanted distractions.

Good morning!

[sigh] Humidity has returned to our region, and today should be miserably hot. Rain tomorrow, but no relief today. I plan to stay inside.

I had a problem with my central a/c unit last week, but I've had more luck than you DR Cillaliz.  The fan was running but the air wouldn't cool.  The a/c man came yesterday afternoon and attached some kind of jump-start kit to the compressor and it's as good as new.  Plus the a/c man was a cool drink of water himself.

I'm almost positive Audrey Hepburn got an "Introducing" title card in ROMAN HOLIDAY (even though it wasn't her first film), and it certainly would be my choice.

Did Hayley Mills get one for POLLYANNA?

I'm much later getting in here than usual. Been up since 6:45 but had a pile of things I wanted to get done this morning before settling in with the computer.

I'm in LA, waiting for a call from San Antonio. Bruce! I would love to hear the new song! I have written three 'count 'em - three drafts of that scene you asked for... not quite right. I think that's why it has stayed missing from the  novel and the three other versions of the play... I think I just have to commit to an Ending of that Romance.

I have MEDIUM, LOVESPRING INTERNATIONAL, and PEE-WEE'S PLAYHOUSE from last night to watch.

I want to listen to the commentary on DECEIT.

And I have the remainder of the MARY TYLER MOORE episodes to get through from Season 4.

With only RESCUE ME tonight to watch, I should have plenty of time to squeeze all of this in.

Best of travel wishes for all of the HHWs on trips either to home and away from home: DRs Elmore, Rodzinski and TPunk, Jane, and any others I've forgotten.

Sorry about the health issues, DR Elmore. I'll keep the good thought that it isn't what you fear.

Good Morning!

Hmm... Of course, one of the days I decide not to play the lottery, my number actually comes up!?!?!?!?!

Ah, well.  Guess that means I'll have to make to play some numbers today.

We've had the lottery a few months now and Powerball was added fairly recently as well.

I have yet to play a single time. None of the convenience stores near me sell the tickets, and I haven't botered to drive anywhere to get them. Ah, well. They seem to be doing fine without my money.

Didn't Charlie Brown say something like, "When my ship comes in, I'll probably be waiting at the airport"?

Related to Lionel Twain?
