Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the first preview, and now it is time for you to post until the previewing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: VOLUPTUARY!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First post after BK!

~~~Break Legs Vibes for Tonight's Final Preview for BK and Cast!!~~~
-
Off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am hanging on.
-
Annabelle and I made our patrol. For the third or fourth time since the new elevator was began service on March 7 or so, the damned thing is out of service. This is unbelievable
-
Annabelle seems frisky and playful this morning. She had fun running about the halls, and she met a new neighbor from the fifth floor.
That's all to the good.
-
T.O.D.
I've always loved chocolate and its off-shoots (e.g. Rocky Road), but these days, I'm better off sticking with vanilla.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Renascence was pretty incredible.
-
Preview vibes for MR BK & Co.
Rehearsal vibes for DR TCB & DR GEORGE.
-
So what was the conversation like DR LAURA?
-
My prediction is that MR BK will receive BOTH checks on Saturday.
-
I like to have a dish of vanilla ice cream with RediWhip and almonds or cashews.....or even walnuts.....
-
Today I am mired in software installation and keyboard setup for the silent movie music this weekend. The composer has made instrument files available to us, and it's a bear putting it all together. I'm literally learning as I go, and my fellow keyboardist who's very experienced at it is finding challenges as well.
That, along with concern about the snow and/or other crap we're supposed to be getting this afternoon, is my day.
-
What is up with that elevator???
-
Preview vibes for MR BK & Co.
Rehearsal vibes for DR TCB & DR GEORGE.
DITTO, DITTO, AND DITTO!
Good morning!
-
We have an inch or so of snow in the DC area. The schools are closed (in the suburbs).
Congrats on your preview last night, BK!
Good luck everything works out to your satisfaction.
That doesn't seem like much snow to close schools. Thanks for mentioning it. I will check if Craig is working.
-
Good, it looks like school is open. They only allow so many snow days before extra days are taken out of spring break or tacked on to the end of the school year.
-
Thursday morning greetings! We're in the throes of an ice storm. When Rob came in from work about 8am and I asked him about going out, he said, "Don't!" The roads weren't too bad, he said, but there were traffic lights out and tree limbs down all over the place. Rebecca and I were supposed to meet for coffee...
-
Thank you, DRs John G and TCB, for eye vibes for Richard. I hope we don't have weather like this any of the 4 mornings we have to be outta here early in late December/early January.
-
I hate when important appointments are in the winter.
-
TOD:
Broken up chocolate covered pretzels are very good in ice cream.
-
The smell of smoke is extremely strong this morning. Keith said there is a poor air quality alert. Up until today the air quality hasn't been an issue and the smoke smell was mild.
-
Yes, it is coming all the way from Northern California.
-
I hate when important appointments are in the winter.
I hate when important appointments are in the winter.
It's raining now, above freezing, but it's supposed to keep raining as the temperatures drop, so we'll have either snow or more ice. And it's book group night at Carolyn's, about 6 miles away.
;D
I prefer daytime book groups. Will it be postponed?
-
Here's to a perfect cataract adventure for DH Richard! Looking forward to reports.
My doctor retired and I'm going to be finding someone new in January. I'll be getting myself evaluated in this regard.
-
Not my call. It’s up to Sharon and Carolyn.
-
If you go, vibes you are safe.
I am home from an NYPL Theater Collection trip with Joshie. It was not as successful as we had hoped.
That's too bad. :(
-
Vibes for DR CHAS SMITH!
DR GINNY we are getting light snow right now, but the roads are still icy in spots.....the thawed ice refroze....so staying in might be the best advice.
Yep, DR JRand, that’s what I’m thinking.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
It’s proving to be one of those days.
-
To quote a song BK recorded, there are days and there are days and there are days.
-
I had too much to get done earlier in the day and now I’m scared of the quiet. What did I forget?
-
Let’s move on...
-
Three!
-
I am hanging on.
I am glad to read that. Vibes for what you need, Elmore.
TOD:
I love adding coconut and dried cherries to the tops of things, from oatmeal to ice cream.
Crushed Oreos and crushed Reese’s Cups (or a mix of chocolate chips and peanut butter chips)
Cherries soaked in bourbon
A splash of Frangelico or creme de menthe, etc.
-
TOD:
Broken up chocolate covered pretzels are very good in ice cream.
Yes, please.
-
Odd thing is, I hate those places like Marble Slab that mix stuff into your ice cream. No thank you. The added stuff gets frozen and the flavors contract, so you can’t taste it any more.
-
Roy Clark died. I did watch Hee-Haw occasionally,estwhen Ethel Merman was a guest, but I also liked his hit, Yesterday When I Was Young.
-
My parents were big Roy Clark and Buck Owens fans, so HeeHaw was on at our house every week.
-
DR JohnG, Berlin Alexanderplatz is a Criterion release for February.
-
It's snowing quite heavily here. I had to step out to the market and it's a mess outside.
-
I saw that. It’s usually my luck to buy the DVD a month before the Blu-Ray is announced.
I've turned the radiator down as far as possible since it's been hotter than hell in the apartment. Annabelle has retreated to the bathroom where she sleeps by the heating pipe which keeps that room very cozy, Tonight I dragged out her favorite plastic washtub, put an old sweatshirt in the bottom and set it next to the heating pipe. I expect her to spend much of the winter there. When the building heat goes off at 11pm and the apartment cools down, I expect she'll crawl into bed with Thatch and me.
Cold Stone Creamery is like that. It's fairly new to this area. I've only gone there once, and kind of liked the idea, but it was a little more pricey and out of the way for me to go on a regular basis.
-
I remember watching it when I was a kid. I think I liked it. I don't know what I'd think about it today, though. ::)
Sorry.
I am not a fan of those. Keith likes them.
I don't like their ice cream before fixings are added.
-
It turned out to be a nice day.
-
Haircut done. Shortly I shall be on my way to the mail place, then to eat, then to the theater.
-
Just saying hello. I haven't been able to catch up, but I plan to on the weekend.
Yup. I agree with you there.
Found a documentary at the library that I've been wanting to see for a while: Three Identical Strangers. I don't have the time to watch it tonight. Nothing but an hour-long episode of Berlin.
-
Dancing went OK tonight. If I can remember these routines in two weeks when the competition is, I'll be doing OK.
-
The latest season of Poldark has also arrived. I only got to see the first two episodes.
-
The weather warmed up to the mid-60s today and back down into the 30s tonight. I don't really know one hour to the next, though, what it will be. Or the force of the wind.
-
Mom and Dad lost power today, as did 80,000 others in Louisville. My sister drove in to take them to a motel, because, otherwise, Mom would just sit in the cold. And complain. She's going to stay overnight with them and hopefully the power will be on by morning.
-
It's not been a good week for Mom and Dad.
-
I also picked up a cheap copy of Nevil Shute's A Town Like Alice, which I've wanted to read for some time. I never saw the mini-series but heard it was good.
-
We had to read Shute's On the Beach in ninth grade.
-
Can we get off this page?
-
One more post ...
Four!
What is this page four malarkey?
PAGE FOUR JOHN'S 45000TH POST DANCE!!
-
Way to go, DR John G.!
I am so terrible at watching those numbers .
-
I've been recording it for my friend Margo. There's only one episode left for this season, then it's done.
Why...just why? :(
-
And now, I need to leave work and head for home.
Be back later.
-
So, my friend did the computer-based keyboard programming this afternoon and talked me through installing it while he was waiting for his held curtain at Renascence tonight. We got some expensive instrument sounds for The Freshman, and they are lovely. Tomorrow, in between bouts of snow & sleet & rain cleanup, this is what I’ll be practicing and troubleshooting.
I think a hotel is a good idea. Did your sister also lose power?
I am glad you are reading the book first. I enjoyed the series but loved the book.
We had to read Shute's On the Beach in ninth grade.
One day I will get around to reading this.
It is a shame they couldn't arrest him.
-
I should give in and fall asleep instead of reading WOMEN IN SINLIGHTfor my book group discussion. I am having trouble getting into the book.
-
'night
-
Good night, Jane.
-
I'm watching last week's episode of Doctor Who.
-
It's not set in America's past, again.
-
Whew!
-
They're supposed to be in the 67th century.
-
The Doctor and the gang are on a transport ship out in space, trying to prevent a creature who eats anything, even metal, from destroying the ship that they're on.
-
Good evening.
-
I am home.
-
One more post.
Hi, George.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Did you have rehearsal tonight?
-
Oh, yes.
-
Tomorrow is our only day off until Thanksgiving.
-
I guess I should be grateful for the day.
-
Tomorrow is our only day off until Thanksgiving.
Yikes! I hope you enjoy it!
-
I don't have another rehearsal until Monday.
-
Of course, we have a six hour tech on Saturday.
-
Tomorrow is our only day off until Thanksgiving.
Yikes! I hope you enjoy it!
No, I have to spend my whole day working on my lines.
Ahh...makes sense.
-
Michelle Obama was just on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE.
-
I have my script on the bed with me now.
-
Lin-Manuel Miranda will be on next.
-
Last night I fell asleep holding my script.
-
And now Lin Manuel.
-
Back to my line notes for the night.
-
Goodnight, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Well, I need to get to sleep. I didn't sleep as soundly last night as I would've liked, so I'll try again tonight.
Have a good day (tomorrow), all!
-
422 in the am. Wonder why we're still on yesterday
-
We had a snow storm yesterday afternoon
-
Apparently everyone lost their minds and forgot how to drive
-
From my window at work I could see bumper to bumper traffic
-
Most of my co workers decided to leave right at 5:30
-
I was waiting for one of our Closers to come by to pick up a file for a 9 am closing in Manhattan
-
I watched out my window as my coworkers sat in their cars in our parking lot trying to get out of the lot.
-
The Closer called me at 5:45 when he was leaving another office, less than a mile away, to tell me he was on the way.
-
He arrived after 7 pm
-
For once I had nothing pressing to keep me in the office but it was really pointless to go out and burn a tank of gas going no where
-
So I got some things done ahead of time. I was able to work efficiently since no one was emailing or calling because (I assume) they were all sitting in their cars going nowhere
-
My window looks right out onto the road and suddenly around 7:30 it went from bumper to bumper to empty
-
My co workers had been texting ...2 hours to get home, 3 hours to get home...
-
I got home in 20 minutes instead of the normal 10
