Well, you've read the notes, the notes were coached, and now it is time for you to post until the coaching cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MOIRA!
-
First post after BK!
-
BK, that's great about your coaching session. Just reading about her energy and how present she was, was encouraging about upcoming talent in the world. It's nice to know that not all kids are just about their devices and "likes" on social media.
-
And now, to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
It looks dreadful outside. I hope DR vixmom gets to stay home.
-
I must step out. I will meet Joshie at City Center at 10:00.
-
Around 3:00 this morning, Annabelle and Thatch ended up in bed with me. The Flash wanted to play; Wonder Woman did not. As a result, he kept jumping out of bed to find amusement elsewhere. Then he would return and the cycle would continue.
-
Before I head downtown this morning, I need to tidy and dump the litter.
-
Good morning to all
-
There is not all that much snow on the ground (yet) it is a very fine snow but it's been falling steadily since about 2 am. The wind is fierce though, it sounds scary whipping around the sides of the house
-
I am writing this from the comfort of my recliner , in my new cozy Jammie's, under my new cozy throw, sipping my hazelnut coffee
-
Miracle of miracles the boss closed the office !
-
I gave to monitor my email remotely but that's ok
-
I must step out. I will meet Joshie at City Center at 10:00.
I hope you don't blow away or get sick again. Maybe splurge on a cab or uber if you must go out
-
So BK do you foresee Peyton joining the Kritzerland shows at some future point?
-
My brother Randy called this morning. He suspects the Macbeths were in a car wreck last night.
Pity.
-
I'm feeling a bit better, but now, I think, my wife has caught my cold.
:(
-
Thatch, Annabelle, and I really enjoyed All's Well That Ends Well, although none of us knows why the wonderful Helena would want to be stuck with that little shit Bertram for more than one day. I think we'll tackle Troilus and Cressida next. That should give The Flash and Wonder Woman some interest in the Trojan War.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Feels like a Saturday with everyone home, and our storm conditions are the same as vixmom’s so far.
-
My plans for the day are to continue getting the music room back into shape. Not that it’s in BAD shape, but it is kind of a mess.
At some point soon I have to get cracking on Into the Woods Keyboard 2 and The Addams Family Keyboard 1. I’ve been enjoying the week off from such things, but it’s about time to get back to work.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Enjoyed the notes on your session with Peyton.
-
TCB - vibes that Nicky is doing well.
-
Miracle of miracles the boss closed the office !
Yea and car vibes for Vixdad!
-
Feel better DR Duxy and for anyone who is sick.
-
TOD:
I think Giselle Eisenberg who's currently in "Life in Pieces" is amazingly funny as well as adorable.
-
I am briefly using the WiFi on the plane,
-
It has been a somewhat of a rough day of traveling for me. I am feeling a bit better right now and hope the worst is over.
-
I hope someone will post the photo Keith put on fb he took with his iPad, just north of Tehran—almost to the southern portion of the Caspian Sea.
-
Elmore, did you decide to cancel your trip and stay home?
-
Travel vibes for Jane and Keith
-
Be well vibes each and everyone of us!!!
-
And for all our fur babies as well
-
Continued vibes for DR JANE. Vibes for all of the East Coast HHW'ers....we continued to have barely zero temps and wind chills below......
-
Nice coaching session notes. I keep seeing the promos for ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD, I am not sure I want to see it or not....we shall see.
It was a pretty terrible story when it was happening.
-
Rehearsal vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
TOD:
Shirley Temple
I shall have to think if I like anyone else.....mostly I just tolerate them.
-
I can't think of his name but the kid in sixth sense was amazing in that movie
-

Vying with Elmore for chief curmudgeon? ( though I think he's hung up his crown now that Annabelle and Thatch have moved in!!)
:-* :-*
-
I can't think of his name but the kid in sixth sense was amazing in that movie
Haley Joel Osment. He's in "Future Man" on TV these days
He also sang on one of Skip's songs in the Disney video sequel "Hunchback... Part 2."
-
I'm up, I'm up - not quite seven hours of sleep due to an active brain.
-
Yes, Peyton will definitely be joining us at Kritzerland - if we'd done this coaching session last month I would have put her in this show.

Will she be attending the show this week?
-
Good morning / afternoon.
-
I am so happy that vixmom's office is closed today.
-
I hope elmore had second thoughts about going out today.
-
My brother Randy called this morning. He suspects the Macbeths were in a car wreck last night.
Pity.
I hope the Macbeths are okay.

I'm feeling a bit better, but now, I think, my wife has caught my cold.
:(
Happy that Druxy is feeling better. Health vibes to DW Sandy
-
T.O.D.
Judy Garland
Drew Barrymore
Tatum O'Neal
Ron Howard
-
Thank you all for the vibes for Nicky. He seems a little less crippled up this morning. His 12 hour medicine apparently wore off right at 4:00 a.m., because he woke me up right at 4.
-
Miracle of miracles the boss closed the office !
Nice!!
-
Snow totals of 8 inches in Queens and 9 inches in Long Island have been reported by National Weather Service.

In case you needed confirmation, the lunatics are running the asylum.

Yes that's the kid, I didn't know either of those tidbits though!

In that case I am looking forward to seeing her in a future video!!

I am so happy that vixmom's office is closed today.
Me too!!! I have "remoted" into my email though so I have been able to keep on top of those... I do have a growing list of things that must be done tomorrow though
-
In case you needed confirmation, the lunatics are running the asylum.
And the tails wagging the dog
-
Hey John, I have some beef bones from the prime rib I made Sunday...can I use this to make a stock? Somehow it feels wrong just to throw them out
-
Good news about Nicky
-
I am hoping to hear. Elmore is safe and sound and wRm st home
-
The wind is really wicked out there
-
The idiot behind us (aka firework King) is clearing his driveway which runs along our backyard (which is ridiculously narrow)
He just bombarded our kitchen windows with the spray...if he had broken a Window we would really have had a problem
-
I am so glad I went grocery shopping yesterday morning... There is a meatloaf in the oven right now,

Why not give it a try. They’ve already cooked, so they won’t give the same flavor as raw.
-
I am so glad I went grocery shopping yesterday morning... There is a meatloaf in the oven right now,
What time will it be ready?
-
Unfortunately, I'm afraid I won't be there. Yes, even for meatloaf. It's unthinkable to even step outside here. The snow, plus blizzard conditions, PLUS (a big plus) the extreme temperatures? Forget it.
Worse, the wind and extreme temperatures will be with us for another few days, which is going to make getting out there and cleaning up absolutely miserable.
-
Best vibes for DC Nicky!!
-
My brother Randy called this morning. He suspects the Macbeths were in a car wreck last night.
Pity.
Maybe this could be the impetus for them to realize that they need to sell the land. Just a thought. ::)

Or give them ideas!
;)

T.O.D.
Judy Garland
Drew Barrymore
Tatum O'Neal
Ron Howard
Ditto to all of these, as well as:
Jodie Foster
Hayley Mills
Haley Joel Osment
Shirley Temple
And a few unremembered others, I'm sure.
-
And I am home. It is truly unpleasant outside.
I caught a 9:30 104 bus to City Center, worked with Joshie until 2:00, and then took a taxi home. I'm staying inside tomorrow, proofreading a couple of songs from "Sail Away." The kitties were happy to see me, and they want food. They have another 90 minute wait for that. Breakfast is served, 7:30-8:30, and dinner, 4:30-5:30; they have their dry food all day.
-
My brother Randy called this morning. He suspects the Macbeths were in a car wreck last night.

It looks like the San Antonio Symphony died last night. Contract negotiations broke down and the rest of the season has been canceled. They play Saturday for the city’s 300th anniversary. And that’s it.

I’m really PO’d. They had gotten so good in recent years.

By time you're done plowing our driveway, what sort of wine would you like, dry or sweet?

Oh, no.

Thursday afternoon greetings! Spent the morning finishing Sarah Dunant’s Sacred Hearts for a noon discussion at the library where my career began. Had to make a little scene when the security thug tried to make me feed the meter for a “visitor” parking space. John, the current library director, intervened when I threatened to just leave. Might be time to correspond with the Miami Regionals dean...
-
They calmed me down and we had a nice discussion about the book at hand and lots of others.
-
Hayley Mills.
Whew! How could I have forgotten her?
-
My news report just said the 9-18 inches of snow and blizzard conditions are in order for NY, CONN, etc....including DR ELMORE and his Katz, DR VIXMOM, DR CHAS SMITH, and DR FJL.
Stay inside. I hope you don't have to go to work tomorrow ANYBODY......and I hope VIXDAD is home!
-
Nobody here's going to work tomorrow, and I expect the day's cleanup to take most of the morning and afternoon. Including warm-up and food breaks, to be sure. And there will probably be some aggravating re-cleaning up to do later, and the next day, due to the continually drifting snow.
-
But we'll be taking it slowly and methodically. No one needs to be harmed cleaning up a little snow.
-
It looks like the San Antonio Symphony died last night. Contract negotiations broke down and the rest of the season has been canceled. They play Saturday for the city’s 300th anniversary. And that’s it.
I saw that news a little while ago. Very sorry to hear it. As I would be with any orchestra or other musical organization.

I am dee-lighted t stay home tomorrow. I will work while Thatch and Annabelle continue to goblin-proof the apartment. I may have to step in to help, and we may need to ask Val to do some hammering, if he's not shovellng the sidewalks another six times tomorrow.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Stay well and warm, all of you in deep snow!
-
MEGA health vibes to DC Nicky!
-
MEGA vehicle vibes to Vixdad!
One of the reasons why I buy used cars these days is my disgust with the dealers. I LOVED my Volvo, but came to LOATHE the local dealers, who are not only disreputable but often incompetent as well. I bought my Audi used, with low miles, and had it checked out by a mechanic I trust. I have it serviced as much as possible by said independent mechanic. There are times when I have to take it to the dealer, but I only do so when I must. The dealers have incentive programs to sell you work you don't need; I don't know of any independents that do that.
I hope that Vixdad's car is repaired properly and quickly, with no more BS from the dealer.

George, regarding the shirts, some alternations are indeed simple, such as taking in the side seams. But there's only so much that can be done. If the shoulders are too wide, no. In some cases you'd have to take the whole garment apart and recut, then resew it. That's not worth it.
-
I woke up this morning feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. Ugh! I also felt something in my mouth. It's not uncommon to find a bit of cement the day after a dental procedure, but I think this was actually one of my veneers. All my veneers are on the inside--"reverse" veneers--so I can't really tell by looking. I wasn't thinking quickly enough to save it. A while later I was flossing and this time a veneer really did some off. I was able to save that one and now have yet another dental appointment to try to have it cemented back on. Oy!
Two veneers in one day. Could yesterday's drilling have loosened them somehow? GAWD!
-
I washed my hair this morning. The plumber will be turning the water off tomorrow for several hours to fix a pipe under the building, but I can take a quick shower before he arrives. Then I drove to my favorite food store. They have excellent soups and I'm definitely still in soft-food mode.
-
Dental vibes for DR JEANNE.....
-
Men's short program for the US CHAMPIONSHIPS on at 8:30 p.m. on NBC SPORTS NETWORK......
-
Health vibes to all.

Glad Vixmom, Elmore, Chas, and Jrand can stay home and hopefully enjoy a snow day.

Travel vibes to Jane for a smoother trip.

DR Ginny, I'm glad your water problems have been solved--and at no expense to you!

As Amanda Wingfield used to say DR JEANNE:
You're a martyr.....a Christian martyr.....
-
Shocking to hear about the San Antonio Orchestra
-
TOD:
I can't think of anyone who was cuter than Shirley Temple, but I've seen a few since who rival her. Don't know their names.
-
As Amanda Wingfield used to say DR JEANNE:
You're a martyr.....a Christian martyr.....
No, no martyr here. :) Just an aging person with the dental issues that aging people tend to get. My back and neck issues do make it more difficult to undergo these procedures, though. Drilling isn't at all back-friendly. It isn't friendly is ANY regard, is it?
-
Several years ago, while looking for a solution that eventually resulted in my reverse veneers, I came across some research being done in Alberta, Canada, where ice hockey is quite popular. A researcher developed a way to regrow a tooth using ultrasound. At first the ultrasound machine he used was the size of a laptop computer, but then he found an expert in nanotechnology who miniaturized it so that it was the size and shape of a tooth. The dentist implants this ultrasound "tooth" and it then tells the body to regrow a natural tooth. Really exciting news! At that time it was 4-5 years away from commercial use. What a great thing that would be!
Since then I've come across similar research in both the UK and Germany. Someone will have a successful product one day.
-
Peyton certainly sounds promising. We need another WELCOME TO MY WORLD production, too, but I'd like to see is a bit sooner than 1 1/2 years.

I never thought of that. I (obviously) haven't found out how much this person would charge and what she would do for said charge...and I might not even find out. We'll see. ;)

Dental ibex for Jeanne .
-
Also dental vibes for Jeanne, in case the ibex doesn't work out for her
-
The snow stopped 5:30. Then Vixdad went out for 1 1/2 hours to clear the driveway, cars and walkway
-
We ended up with about a foot of snow
-
There are times when living on the main road right down the block from the firehouse substation is a very good thing...they started snowing our road at 3am and we have had continuous plowing since then. The road is very clear and passable which is good as we have to bring Vixdad's car back to the dealer and we both must go to work
-
Good evening from frigid northern Virginia.
-
I think we only had an inch of snow but the weather people act like it's a blizzard. The wind is very strong, of course, and it's freezing, but it's not nearly as bad as New England, etc.
-
I have heard reports from other parts of town that the side streets have not yet Been completed but with bout 18 hours of snowfall and winds of 40 mph you can't expect clean roads everywhere 3 hours after the storm ends
-

I learned today that the term blizzard actually refers to the speed of the winds rather than the amount of the snowfall ...so technically it has been blizzard conditions

Hey John, I have some beef bones from the prime rib I made Sunday...can I use this to make a stock? Somehow it feels wrong just to throw them out
YES! They make awesome stock. I like to let it reduce and really get flavorful. I chill the stock, skim off all the fat, and add barley, celery, and carrots to make a delicious soup.
-
Thanks for the travel vibes. We were able to catch an earlier flight on the home stretch from Seattle-tacoma. Now to recover from our travels.

Good evening.

Welcome home, Jane.

Travel-recovery vibes for Jane!
-
Jeanne - Yikes, hope that doesn't turn out as bad at it's sounding, Sending many dental vibes.

I think this is the photo DR JANE was talking about.
Thank you for posting this photo of Mount Damāvand, the 12th most prominent peak in the world, and the 3rd in Asia after Everest and Puncak Jaya.
While the iPad took an amazing photo it did not come close to the magnitude of our view.
-
Dental vibes for DR Jeanne.
-
Rehearsal went really well and was really long - after it I went right to Ralph's and got a few little things for my meal o' the day - nothing huge or anything. Then I came home, ate it all and went back to writing. I've done about four new pages so far and will continue on until I've done the other six and maybe a few more than that. But for now, a short break.
-
Yes, Peyton and mom will be at the Kritzerland show on Sunday.
-
Meanwhile the irritations pile up and I try to just shunt them aside or keep them at bay. There are moments when I think a nice bottle of Seconal would be a swell thing to have around the house - but then I work with these kids and hear them do their stuff and it just feeds my heart and energy, and the book helps keep me sane and focused.
-
It's supposed to get down to -6 degrees in Catskill. Glad I don't live there anymore.

Watching the second half of The Long Day Closes. It's long.

Patti LuPone is going to be honoring Andrew Lloyd Webber on the Grammys. That's bizarre given how little she thinks of him.

Well, it's time for me to leave work and go home. I feel like I'm supposed to go shopping and get something at Fred Meyer, but I can't think of what it might be, other than that might remind me to use my FM coupons, but I don't know if that's it. Anyway, I'm at least leaving work.
Be back later.
-
Just started The X from Outer Space, a Japanese sci-fi flick made for about $1.95. The theme song is so wonderfully cheesy. And the lyrics: The universe is our world ...
What does that even mean?
-
Vixdad tells me the snow in the driveway was more than 2 feet deep because it was taller then the snowblower tube which is 24 inches high
-
He said that there were drifts around his car as high as the roof
-
Well tomorrow will be. Busy day so nighty night
-
Please keep it in your neck of the woods, Vixmom.
-
Every last flake.
-
Time for bed.
-
TCB, how are you and Ncky doing?
Please keep us updated.
-
Thanks for all the vibes. Painkillers do help. And Arnica.
-
DR JEANNE that sounds almost like MAGIC!! But it would be wonderful if it worked!
I believe there was a successful prototype. The delay has been in getting it approved through the FDA and Health Canada. So we should see a commercial version; the only question is WHEN.
-
Stay safe and well and warm, everyone.
Good night.
-
I've done about seven pages so far - I'll see if I can do the other three, but I'm not going to fret about it, although I know that a very important sequence is coming up and I'm anxious to do that.
-
Vixdad tells me the snow in the driveway was more than 2 feet deep because it was taller then the snowblower tube which is 24 inches high
Yikes! I can't imagine living where it snows that much! :P
-
Nine pages. Will definitely do a tenth and maybe one more after that, as I'm now in the sequence I was looking forward to.
-
Good evening.
-
Hi, George.
-
My sister wants to see "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," and so do I.
-
She's taken this whole week off from work, so I decided to take off tomorrow and we're going to see the 10:55 a.m. showing.
-
After work tonight, I went to theater and bought the tickets.
-
The theater has recliners and they're real comfy!
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Dental vibes to Jeanne.
-
Nicky doesn’t seem to be as crippled up as yesterday.
-
I gave him another pain syringe this afternoon.

Nicky doesn’t seem to be as crippled up as yesterday.
Great!

He didn’t seem as affected by it as he was yesterday.

He didn’t seem as affected by it as he was yesterday.
Hope the trend continues!
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Well, I hate to do this, but I need to get some sleep. I can't keep my eyes open. 8) I'm pretty excited that I'm finally going to see the lastest Star Wars movie! I'll post a (non-spoiler) report!
Have a good day, all!
