Good afternoon all -

Back from rehearsal for "Bukowsical!"  It was good today -- us two understudies just got put into every number and worked them each a couple times.  It'd been a while since I had touched these numbers as far as polished choreography goes - but I think we got everything ironed out.

I'll just be sure to run it a few times before I go to bed and then it'll all be done by 3:30 tomorrow afternoon.  Thank God.

So, DR Ron Pulliam:

What did you conclude from your "secret" test?

I don't have a clue as to what you are referring.

It may be that it was classified so high I wasn't allowed to remember.

Did anyone mention the naked glacier protest in Switzerland?  It appears that by 2080 if the global warming continues, the glaciers will be gone.

Needless to say, by 2080 if my aging continues, I, too, will be gone.

Sounds like we need to plan a PNW HHW Gathering!! :D

Gathering, Hell!  That gives us less than two months to warn the natives.

And Jose -- thank you for the lovely photos of your niece. I saw your post early this morning, and I went back to sleep before I posted about them.

It's a private workshop to see if Roundabout and its mighty crew can "fix" BYE BYE BIRDIE to make it work in one of their dreadful productions.  Much as I love Bill, he's as right for the role as I am to play Chita Rivera's role: he moves so well, he's very funny, he's charming, but he has a problem with singing in tempo.

After seeing Walter Bobbie do the role so well for the Encores! production, it makes you wonder who's behind Roundabout starfuc I mean casting.

elmore, congratulation vibes on being cast as Rosie!

How wonderful to get to the PC this morning and see that I have "National Geographic" on line as a free offer.   I wonder if they will return to the "Red Shirt" focus in the photographs of both scenery and craftmaking locals, as they did in the sixties.

Already I've received mail about the free subscription from other lucky recipients. I look forward to seeing the "usual" close up photographs of the half-naked primitives as they go about their hunting and gathering.

I've never been to Coney Island (but then I've never been to me).

Well I do hope someone with Dan's phone number is able to contact him.

I have his home and work addresses but mail is a touch slow to get through from here.

I've been signed in here, surfing the 'Net and listening to the show tunes digital music channel.  But all good things must end. ;)

My sister called and asked if I would come over and (finally) move the light fixture from her former dining room area to her new dining room area.  I said that I would and, as much as I'd like not to, ::) several days ago I said that I would...and I even suggested today as the day to do it, since I have nothing to do, except surf the 'Net and also listen to the show tunes digital music channel.  So, off I go.

Until later.  Have a good day, all! ;D

I'm on hold with AppleCare.  The reason for this is because Time Warner cable went out for two hours, so I went to my local free wireless cafe, where I've been many, many times, and no network showed up in the airport icon - zip.  The same thing happened at Continental in Newark so something got screwed up on my computer.  It works fine at home here, but I need it to also work on the road.  I was on hold for eight minutes and got someone, but they said they had to switch me to someone who deals with wireless specifically.

In any cast two-and-a-half hours later, Time Warner is working again.

I am STILL on hold with AppleCare - my displeasure grows with every passing second.  I have now been on the phone for over thirty minutes and all but two of those minutes have been spent on hold.

Finally hung up, called back, and got someone on the phone three minutes later - this guy knew what he was doing.  I was right - when I had to use dial-up in NY it messed with the Airport system, so he basically had me reset the wireless card in the computer, which just was typing in about three little things, and all should be well now.  And I'm NOT using dial-up ever again.  Thankfully, the two places I'm staying in, while not having wireless, are both cable modem (Time Warner, like mine) so all should be well.  I might even be able to glom onto someone else's wireless, too.

Good Evening!

Back from my matinee of ACL.  All went well today.  On my end at least!  -I even finally counted the right number of measures rest in the first "One" sequence.  HOO and RAY!  ;)  -Alas, one of the other keyboards was having technical/mechanical/computer brain issues, so...  Thankfully, we were all able to go into "stand-by" mode if needed.  And we weren't needed.  Whew!  But I suspect another keyboard swap-out will be taking place Tuesday.

Hmm.... Chinese take-out or delivery sounds good too.  Although, after reading some more of the articles in the new issue of "Gourmet", I'm soooo tempted to head up the street to check out either the taco trucks and/or one of the Dominican restaurants featured in the article.  Decisions, decisions.
