But first, a sampling of what Variety has to say about the revival of Grease!, which opened on the Broad Way this very eve...

"It's hardly a minority opinion to say one of the lessons learned from the rocky Bush administration is that America doesn't always make the most farsighted choices. That forlorn conclusion is amplified loud and clear in the dispiritingly bland Broadway revival of "Grease." While the results of misguided casting decisions can't be compared to the impact of longterm political appointments, letting the people choose their own Danny and Sandy in this case does little to validate the democratic election process."

The show will most likely run through Christmas, but unless they overhaul the show and/or do some sort of major publicity campaign, I don't think it would survive the traditional theatrical doldrums of the NYC winter.

I've never seen COLD CASE before.  It's like FOLLIES with a murder mystery. Excellent cast, and good writing.

It's one of the best of all the CBS procedural dramas. And because many of the behind the scenes folks are gay, there have been quite a few memorable gay stories over the course of its three seasons.

I just watched ALL FALL DOWN myself about two weeks ago. COntinues to have fascinating performances, and Warren Beatty and Brandon De Wilde have to be two of the best looking actors ever to play brothers.

According to one of the ushers at my theatre, a friend of theirs, who is an usher at the Brooks Atkinson, tried to reserve some tickets for some family and the box office told them that there are no seats available until January. God knows if they'll sell any tickets past then, but still...they have over a $14 Million advance, from what I hear...

I spent the evening with more UGLY BETTY. During the course of the evening several memorable episodes from the first season came into play. One memorable one was the wonderful Justin performing "Good Morning Baltimore" on the subway. That little boy (who is really little in the pilot and who grows about a foot by the end of the season) steals every scene he's in.

And all of my paperwork balanced out perfectly this week. Not even one little tweak to make it work out. AMAZING! And, though our houses felt significantly smaller this week, my sales only dropped by $600 for the week. Not too bad...could be worse!

Also rewatched the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" episode that featured Patti Lupone as Marc's bigoted mother. This episode was just on last Thursday night on the network, but knowing I was going to be watching this set, I didn't watch it then as much as I wanted to see it again.

On that episode, Vanessa Williams and Michael Urie provide a commentary, so I had to listen to it. It wasn't as much fun as the Urie/Becki Newton commentary (the best in the set so far), but it was OK.

Greast - just more of the amateurization of the performing arts - and while the reviews should matter, they won't - for awhile.  Advances, like hot air, go away just as quickly as they came.

I started a Charlie Chan movie but I'm too restless so I'm listening to a Bossa Nova compilation that's putting me in a fine mood.

It's one of the best of all the CBS procedural dramas. And because many of the behind the scenes folks are gay, there have been quite a few memorable gay stories over the course of its three seasons.

I love COLD CASE. It's the only other recent series I'm familiar with, because TNT airs it in syndication and I've had to clip out quite a few episodes.

One gay story I thought was very well done was the one with the baseball player that was a very cold case from the 60's. The writing is so good, and there is such an emotional wallop as the crimes get solved and the families finally get some closure, one way or another.

I adore THE WAY WE WERE, always have, always will.
Watch it DR edisaurus!

I have never seen COLD CASE.
I watch a lot of UGLY BETTY; but not the dvd set yet. . .

I just watched THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY and found it as charming as ever, and such a beautiful transfer to dvd!

Earlier, I slept for forty-five minutes.   8)

Today, at work, I was the bartender, the server and the manager on duty.   :o
