If I were "in charge at NBC", I'd find it pretty tough to cancel a show like "Life" since it's one of the finest shows they've introduced in some time.

I'd rearrange my schedule a bit and match "Life" up with something more worthy than "Bionic Woman".  I might even pit it against "Desperate Housewives" on Sunday evenings.

So if they cancel the show with that mean that "Life" is over?

Are you sure DR Jeanne? (actually, John Abraham is known to be one of the nicest, most down to earth of the big Bollywood stars...and he cleans up nicely, also)

Well, now, Mike, in this photo I get a completely different impression. Does look like a very nice guy.

I have gotten a few things done today and will work on doing some more.  I had to go home and get a Claritin a little while ago.  My eyes were burning and I'm getting a little stuffy. Paul said his eyes are burning too and I've seen and heard lots of people sneezing today.  Must be something in the air.

The Claritin seems to be doing the trick. I feel much better

Took a walk and bought more art supplies. It's a windy day and feels wintry.

It's a very beautiful day out, but it was cold when I was out running my Friday errands. Glad I hauled out a leather jacket because I certainly needed it.

I had planned on watching the TV on the DVR this afternoon and then watching something for fun tonight before prime time TV started.

But, when I walked out the side door to go on my errands, there were two Blu-rays from Disney that come out on Tuesday - THE SANTA CLAUSE 3 and BAD SANTA, so they now move to the top of the "food chain." Since I watched the SD-DVD of THE SANTS CLAUSE a couple of days ago, this one will be easier to get through tonight before prime time, and then tomorrow I'll watch BAD SANTA (which I've never seen on ANY format).

I started my viewing with 30 ROCK. Very funny. Edie Falco was the guest star.

CSI said goodbye to Sarah Sidle and it was a fitting final episode.

I was glad the little antagonist ended up losing everything.

LAW & ORDER: CI had an OK plot but I've seen better stories on the show.

So if they cancel the show with that mean that "Life" is over?

"Life" would have no meaning.

"Life" would be futile.

None of us would have a "Life".

We would be "Life"less.

It was "okay."

Now that we have two (count 'em) two HDMI inputs department:  I'm seriously considering getting a hi-def DVD player.  Curious what those of you with them already think about hi-def vs. Blu-Ray.  There's a Sony Blu-Ray on sale right now for $299, which seems pretty good, but I haven't price checked around yet.  Does one format seem to have the upper hand yet?

I have the HD-DVD.  Players for this format are currently the least expensive.

There are virtually NO differences between the formats other than the way they are encoded.  HD-DVD is a less expensive format to program, according to reports I've read, which is one of the reasons Paramount opted to go exclusively "HD-DVD" for 18 months.

In truth, HD-DVD standalone player sales have skyrocketed in recent weeks.  The next weekend (starting day after Thanksgiving) may give a clearer picture on whether HD-DVD has turned things around in its favor (there are already articles out there suggesting just that).

Bottom line:  Check titles availabilities.  Some titles are available in both formats.  Other titles are only available in one format.  You may find a title you like in each format but neither is available in the other.  You may have to go by which labels offers the most titles you might love more in high definition.

This could make the difference for you in your first purchase.

Yes, DR JMK, check out which films are available in each format. This should be the final decision maker for you. Quality is the same. When I chose Blu-ray, Universal was the only major studio not releasing on Blu-ray. That was the basis for my choice.

Yes, HD-DVD player sales did well when Toshiba reduced them, but so did Playstation 3 sales when Sony came out with its new, lower priced model, so player sales aren't going to be the determining factor (yet). It's still a matter of which popular films can be had on which format that's going to determine a winner (if there is one).

I'm heading down now to mop that %&*#&^$ kitchen floor and then settle in with the Bu-ray version of THE SANTA CLAUSE 3.
