Oooooooooh, this is good: Ann Coulter is being investigated again for voter fraud. Just warms my heart.

I should have been more clear.  He's seeing the Encores presentation of Kern and Hammerstein's MUSIC IN THE AIR at City Center, not just seeing random bits of music in the air.  :) :)

Don't all composers?

DR DRUXY was Miss Frances Farmer a topic of conversation in the theatre department at the University of Washington?

Never.  I was there in the late 1950s-early 1960s.  She was long gone.

Glenn Hughes was still head of the Drama Dept. while I was there.

Did he still stand around with one hand in his suit jacket pocket?   ;D

Do you expect me to remember that after 50 years?

I do remember that he was a bit of a grouch.

DR Jose, I think Bradley Cooper is dreamy, too. I thought so when he co-starred on ALIAS and was crushed when his Fox sitcom got canceled during its first season.
Yeah, well, bad writing will do that to a series.

The only reason I know is because of archived video from TIYL--he stood there in quite the continental fashion describing Frances' epic sized shoulder chip.  :)

Mae-Ling and Wae-Ling were just here. Mr. Goldstein had to run to the store. Mae-Ling and I made some meatball soup for their dinner, while Wae-Ling followed Joshie around.

I might be thinking of someone else, but wasn't Bradley Cooper also a musician and (maybe) in some one hit wonder British 80s group?  Someone who did a UK crime show around the time of Touching Evil was, that much I remember.

I've finished most of the notes for the CD.  I have just one more paragraph to do, and then I'll decide if I feel like doing my usual Discovering so and so.  We'll see.  I do enjoy doing the personal reminiscences, so I'll probably do it.

Today I saw METAMORPHOSES at The Pittsburgh Public Theater.
Before the show, I went to Eides, a great comic book, music and dvd store where I picked up GOODBYE MR. CHIPS and THE YELLOW ROLLS ROYCE for a pittance.  Their prices are great, but, I usually trade there, these were mere purchases.
Being about forty minutes early to meet my friends, I roamed the streets of downtown with my camera in hand.

Then we saw the show, and what a show it was!  Beautifully realized retelling of some of Ovid's classic myths.
A Facebook friend, whom I met on facebook through Donna Lynne Champlin, was featured in this production:  J. T. Arbogast.
We had agreed earlier to meet in the lobby following the performance and so we did.  What a charmer.  And we had more in common than just Donna Lynne!

My best friend Coni, whom I attended the show with is a playwright in her own right - I've done several of her plays  - and it would seem that J. T. did one of Coni's plays eight years ago!  Ironic since Coni whispered to me during the show that J. T. would be the one cast member she would like to meet, not realizing that he was my Facebook friend or that she had already met him several years ago.

Following the show, Coni, her husband and I went to The Spaghetti Warehouse for a marvelous dinner, where dirt was dished and marvelous dishes were consumed.  We had a very, very good server who was energetic and efficient, and good for a laugh or two.  When I ordered my "Turin Trio" (15 layer lasagna, fettucini al fredo and chicken parmesan) it only took a moment for her to realize what I meant when I said I was ordering "The Shroud."  (NO groaning on HHW).

On my way home, I stopped briefly to get some photos printed, they can be seen on the public Facebook photo link I posted above. . .

Not really, the production was merely shrouded in mystery.

I've decided that I will have a celebratory dinner this evening.  I just haven't decided where.  I'll probably go around six-thirty.

I hope this link works.  We are on the South west of the circle around Bunyip.  (There is a water storage lake shown there - Jose visited the Kangaroos in the adjacent park)

Clicking on to the circle will enlarge the specific area.   Fires are still very much alive in the Bunyip State Forest.

Grammy spoiler

Interesting that the Song of the Year winner "Viva La Vida" is the subject of a high-profile plagiarism claim.  This probably makes the stakes even higher for the person who's claiming the plagiarism.

Good Evening!

Mmmmmm...Mexican!

-Dinner that is. And it really was very, very good Mexican food.

*It was also nice to unwind with some of the company reps and reminisce about some of today's more memorable moments. ;)

Some of the UK's weather would be more than useful!

Scheduled for dinner tonight:

Lobster Bisque (Giant brand - superb with a splash of sherry added)
Spinach Quiche (also Giant brand - our in-house brands are quite good)
Home-made Chicken Liver and Canadian Bacon Pate, to be served on toasted baguette slices (fresh from the store bakery)

And after the dance call is finished - which should be in about ten minutes - I believe there's a good chance that I will return to my hotel room and get ready for bed. I am really feeling "it" today, and the prospect of getting ten hours of sleep is a very tempting one. Me sleepy already.
