LOL, actually Laura grew up in Minnesota, South Dakota and Kansas. My babysitter's name was Bertha

Oh well....geography...who needs it.....all I know is New York is west of Ohio...and New Orleans is on the Canadian border near Florida.

My grandmother's name was Bertha!

Do you have a mother or aunt named Gladys? That was her daughter's name. I never met her other children

For fans of HOUSE, don't forget that a new episode is coming on tonight at 8 (rather than tomorrow night when it's preempted by the two hour AMERICAN IDOL semifinal round).

Thanks.  I just checked and TIVO has it covered.  I’m never 100% sure about TIVO.  Last week it didn’t record COMMANDER IN CHIEF.

Love Prokofiev....and those were nice costumes, too!

I know of which you speak.  I was thinking to myself to look for a nice recording of Romeo and Juliet.

Me, too.  I think I have some highlights on a CD....but no complete recording.  Of course PT's will always be my favorite!  ;D

When I was looking for GOLDEN BOY this afternoon, I found a 1958 RCA studio recording of SHOW BOAT with Howard Keel, Anne Jeffreys, and Gogi Grant.  Grant is singing all the "Julie" songs and Anne is doing "Magnolia"...Howard also sings "Ol' Man River" in addition to Gaylord's songs.  8)

Ms. Crawford liked your tawdry films, as well.

I think she's in some of the ones in my VCR!

Today I finally watched day two of the Westminster Dog Show and some of the ice skating.  I’m finally up to the men’s long program.

Now I need to catch up with yesterday’s posts.

Wonder what song the Italians are using?  Wonder if it's Friendship by Cole Porter?  8)

Did they ever find the dog that got loose at the Airport?  Delta should pay for that one!

I thought it was the Monkees???

"Daydream Believer" is the Monkees.  "Matilda" is Belafonte.

DR JRand55, you are right...George Nader and Keith Andes are on my TV screen tonight...along with Mamie Van Doren! Isn't America wonderful! LOL!

I am watching THE SECOND GREATEST SEX which I now consider a very underrated 1950s musical!
